Stopped by here with my friend and it was good vibes. I enjoyed the cocktails, the music was really good and we liked the ambiance overall. The tiki inspired decor was cool. The bartender was very chill too. This is definitely a nice spot to chill at with some good people or just enjoy the vibes by yourself.

I’ve never want to leave a bad review before, but this experience was embarrassing and unacceptable. I came here last Saturday with friends and tipped generously on our first round of drinks…And tbh were just beer and wine that required no prep. When I went back to order more drinks for the group, I didn’t tip the second time without even thinking about it. The bartender immediately refused to serve me, saying he “only gets paid off tips,” and wouldn’t even serve my friends either. He didn’t want to have a conversation about it, just flat-out refused. I understand tipping is part of the service industry, but tips are not mandatory!! And punishing customers for not tipping on a single round after already tipping well earlier is unacceptable. The bar was packed that night, and it’s hard to believe the staff wasn’t already making plenty in tips. On top of that, the bartender was openly talking badly about the establishment to customers, which says a lot. My friends and I are from this neighborhood, some born and raised here, and we won’t be coming back. Judging by other reviews I just saw, this isn’t an isolated incident but an ongoing problem with this bartender. Management should take note, because this kind of attitude drives loyal locals away.

Went on a cold, Thursday night. The place was pretty empty but it didn’t matter because the vibes were immaculate and Phil was the best bartender!! Shoutout Phil. He whipped up the meanest dry martini. Would definitely recommend. Will definitely be back.

I've been coming here for happy hour for a few years now. Denny never disappoints with the margaritas. The decor is also great. Love it here.

Bar is a great space to be drinks is great but I did get turned down from service after not leaving a tip which is crazy mind you I only had one drink. I offered to order another drink and tip and I still got turned down that’s complete bs I will be contacting the manager about this

Came here for drinks on a Saturday night with my sister in law and loved the experience. The ambience was relaxing and calm. The drinks were strong and the staff was friendly. I can't wait to visit again.

I'm destined to never get a tiki style cup to satiate my love of tiki bars; but I won't let that hinder me from finding a place that can fulfill my immersive needs (lmao). Although this spot doesn't have tiki like cocktails their music is on point (disco/funk) and the place is super cute. With little nooks to chill in a group setting or cozy up with a date. This is definitely going into my repertoire. The drinks were ok, definitely better than most tiki themed bars I've been to. No nasty syrups here (that I took notice of). Overall it's worth a visit if you're local and for the cozy feels.

Zig Zag is a funky eclectic tiki bar with really well priced cocktails. The drinks are delicious and on point. I loved their Naked & Famous and their Paper Plane. The bartender was attentive and chill. This place is all about the decor though. If in the heart of BedStuy I highly recommend.

This place was pretty cool. The vibe was great. They played good music. The drinks were tasty and you didn't feel ripped off on the amount of alcohol they poured. Prices were somewhat decent. The place was clean and the bartenders were nice. Nothing much to say here, this place was very solid. Located in the heart of bed stuy. I'd come here again. You should check it out.

I came here with a friend to just grab a quick drink.... well that definitely turned into 3 Heminway Daquiri later they were really good. The bartender she makes amazing drinks super friendly. It was a Tuesday night so it was a quiet night. They have empanadas on the menu but that night they only had Spinach. My friend had the painkiller which was good too but mines were so much better The decor in the place is soooo freaking gorgeous. It gives you a wild sexy jungle feel!

Overall rating: 4.9 I absolutely love this place, but I've learned it depends on the bartender if I love the place or if I absolutely love this place. The first time I went, the music was sooo good. The vibe was everything. I felt like I could be there for hours. I went on a date which just went okay, but I knew I'd be back again. It's a spot where I know I can go solo or on a date, which is my favorite kind of place. The second time I went I liked as well. But the music wasn't the same vibe as I got initially. It was a little bit more grungy than I would have liked, especially for a tiki-style bar. I wish I remembered the day I went on the first time, so I can just repeat that experience but so worth the visit. They also have a HH deal that's amazing. I wish I remembered it, but you can find it on the menu. Also definitely a late night, night caps spot.

I'm a sucker for a good tiki bar, we started at one bar and found out some friends were here so we decided to make our way over and I am glad we did. They have awesome outdoor seating that we decided to enjoy, I love the decorations; and it was great to hang out. Our waitress was awesome, sometimes when you sit outside they forget about you, she certainly didn't which was awesome. They have a number of your typical tiki drinks, I decided to try something I had never had called the Saturn and it was delicious! It is gin based with a great blend of fruits and lemon juice, they also came in these awesome shark glasses which I loved! I really enjoyed myself and can't wait to get back here!

Was bar hopping with my friends. The drinks where delicious I had 2 pain killers. Service was excellent. It was a decent amount of people inside for a early Friday morning 1am. It was clean.

Chill ambiance, mood lighting that sets an intimate vibe. Great music tracks at a moderate volume, modern and colorful decore. Imaginative and tasty drinks. Wonderful service. The area is a bit sketchy, but most patrons were cool.

This is a cool little place to hangout before or after you grab dinner in the area. The decor is rad, the drinks are pretty good and the staff was attentive and friendly. I just wouldn't recommend planning your night around Zig Zag as the drinks are a bit pricey and you can rack up a large bill pretty quick. It's definitely worth checking out though, especially during happy hour. One drink I highly recommend is the painkiller. The other great choice is a Pom Pom Punch.

Such an interesting bar! A friend and I decided to stop by here after having dinner in the area. She had been before and told me that it was unassuming from the outside (which it was) but that I would be in for a treat once we stepped inside. When you go inside you see this large lounge like space with large paintings on each wall and couch like seating against the walls. The space itself was dimly lit and there was a bar in the middle of the space. The menu and drinks here are the real catch. I ended up going with the cocktail that was served in a shark cup (wild, right?). Overall the service here was great. We were the only ones sitting indoors so we had very fast service. The space seems perfect to bring friends to. Come if you're in Bedstuy!

It is rare that I leave a cocktail completely full, but wow Zig Zag did an injustice to all the drinks my cousin, friend, and I had. We were excited to walk into the bar- the decor was fun and festive, the music had us feeling like we were back in junior high, and the setting was intimate enough where we could still carry on conversations with one another. We ordered the pain killer, which was similar to a pina colada (based on the menu description) and the Montenegro paloma (tequila, amaro, and grapefruit). Both were absolutely terrible- they were overly sweetened and tasted nothing like they were supposed to. We barely had a few sips and landed up leaving our drinks and the bar. It is clear this is one of those places that's all about the Instagram posts. The only redeeming quality about our experience- the nice bartenders. Safe to say I will not be returning.

Ok now, Zig Zag...have been here a few times & like this place a lot. The place is low key, almost hidden, and sexy in a 70s love shack vibe. There was obvious care & attention taken into decorating the place, and it is nice looking. The decor is dimly lit without being too bright, & that adds more to the vibe than it takes away. The music is loud enough w/o being overpowering so no need to scream at who you're with. Zig Zag did it for me. The drinks are well made, and while everything isn't premium, nothing here felt bottom shelf. It can get very crowded on a good night, so a nice spot to chill with a date will have to be...fought for lol. The bar can get crowded, and because they have a good selection with craft drinks, the wait is not short. I wish I was here getting a drink at 1am right now, but...it's a nice place with really good drinks and it's a cool vibe.

As a person that doesn't much care for bright lights, the dim setting of Zig Zag is an immediate draw for me. There's a deceptive amount of space in this bar that makes it ideal for a group of friends, but you can also snag a cozy corner seat at the bar or in a side nook if you're looking for a more intimate feel. They feature drinks like pina coladas and painkillers, which you'd expect from a tiki bar, and their house specialties as well. What I enjoy are the variety of sipping rums to choose from. Rum bars are outrageously underrated in my humble opinion. You'll also be happy to know that they have a happy hour menu of $7 drinks until 7pm during the week. This review I started before covid took us by surprise, and wasn't able to finish until their recent reopening just a couple of months ago. I was so upset about last year's closure, and now I feel like I have to make up for lost time. Glad to have Zig Zag back in the neighborhood! See you there!

Such a cute tiki bar down the street of my friend's place. I love love love tiki bars and this was a good find. The decor was so cute and the service was great. Bathroom was nice and clean too! When at a tiki bar, I obviously get a piña colada. It was delicious. I came here before dinner, and then we wanted drinks after dinner and I came back again for more. In total I had 3 piña coladas that day :)

This bar has a cool vibe and is pretty low key. There's music but it isn't blasting. You can actually hear the person next to you speak. It was a really nice change from the usual loud bar scene. There was a variety of tiki drinks to choose from. One drink had me feeling good. Not the usual super sweet tiki drink with no punch.

I love the decor in this space and their attention to detail. My friend and I enjoyed the cocktails and the cute cups they serve drinks in! Additionally the business checks vaccine cards so I felt safe.

Omg love this bar!!! Its location is discreet. As you enter, the darkness, fluorescent lighting, tropical decor, and soft music fill your spirit. It is VERY clean...immaculate from the bar to the bathroom. The energy and crowd is that of intelligence and sophistication. It's very low key and I hope it stays that way. The bartender was nice and provided great service. My bourbon and Coca Cola was the best I've had in a long while. Their branded cocktails are served in tiki cups with sustainable straws! (Check). SN: they don't serve food. Empanadas are sold at certain times but I saw a microwave so I'm not sure how worth it they are. Rad bar vibe. I suppose it's for the drunks who need some food on their stomachs. Worth a visit! :-)

If you want low key chill vibes this is the place to go. Drink prices are reasonable and drinks are strong. I had the Oaxaca Old Fashioned which was strong it's made with mezcal and tequila. My friend had a Saturn which was made with gin and that's the first time I had a gin drink that I couldn't tell it was in it. Good place to come if you're into rum cocktails. However, they also a few gin and tequila cocktails too. The decor is a tropical and very dark with black lights. This is a perfect place to come on a date or for a more intimate setting where you can hear each other talk. The bartender, Xavier was very friendly.

I visited this bar to be turned away by a gentleman saying the night was slow and they were closing for the night at only 12: 54 am . I was with least 8 people and was turned away so how can your night be slow if we are coming to spend more money at your establishment ? I'm guessing maybe because some the people I was with were LGBTQ . So ridiculous since I'm a regular at this place and the closing time is usually 2am . Discrimination sucks .

Love the decor! Cool little spot and they have happy hour (came in an hour before closing so I didn't partake). The bartender (might've also been the owner) was nice and helpful. My stupid friend ordered a drink that had ingredients he didn't like in it but didn't read the full ingredient list so I had to drink it lol. It was comped without even asking. The drinks were strong and moderately priced. There's empanadas on the menu but don't expect much variety close to closing. The meat options must be good though since they were gone. I wasn't a fan of the music but overall I can't wait to come back!

Really loved this place. Gorgeous decor. Speakeasy vibes. Cool bartender. Good value for drinks. Intimate atmosphere. What more could anyone ask for? It's a bar where one could easily become a regular, and it seems regulars are welcome.

This is my favorite place BUT somewhere along the line the music changed & it doesn't reflect the feel of this place. A place this vibey should have sound like the soundtrack to an MTV reality show

Empanadas seem microwave so the texture is off. The drink are ok. The ambiance is great. I might give them another try after I hit all the new spots in the neighborhood.

Really cute decor. I really want this place to be doing better because it is so cute. But if you're wondering why it's always empty on a Saturday night, try one of the cocktails. They all taste like straight simple syrup. I went when they first opened and figured they needed to work out the kinks. It's been months and every time I go to Barbs next door, zig zag is still pretty empty. I went again last week to try it out again and nope, they serve straight up sugar in a glass and call it a cocktail ‍

New spot it's feels like a Miami vibes feeling. It's nice for groups of friends awesome place to go for fun. I recommend this SPOT.

Randomly came by to kill time before going to Saraghina and ended up staying an hour having some Montenegro shots and a Mezcal/yellow chartreuse cocktail. Great stuff. Xavier's a solid bartender. I'll def be back with the squad or a date night with the fiancé. Both vibes are a go here on a Sunday eve.

So.. it's a Saturday summer night. The weather is perfect it's not to dark there's a nice breeze passing by and my boyfriend and I decide to walk a few blocks from our house over to this bar. We both pass this bar frequently always reminding ourselves that "one day we need to stop in, this place looks cool". You would think with the inviting wall decor, neon lights and beach house aesthetic that the staff would be just as inviting. WRONG. It's 8pm and this place has a total of 7 patrons. My boyfriend and I walk in for the first time AMAZED at how awesome the inside looks. I mean we talkin dim lights, soft music and a small crowd here! So we walk directly to the bar, stare at the wall with some handwritten drinks for a total of 15 seconds and we wait for the bartender to acknowledge us. 1 minute passes by and NOTHING. At this point we were confused if someone was even behind the bar working because there were a group of women huddled in a corner. So we turn to each other.. continue to look around to see where the bartender was and then notice the group of women who were having this conversation turn around to look at us... then turn back around to continue their conversation. So at this point we've located who the bartender was and realized that our presence wasn't as important as this conversation she was having. So I WALK MY ASS OUT. Patronize a place that lacks customer service ? No thanks. Her attitude was that of someone who works in Chelsea or Williamsburg not in BEDFORD STUYVESANT on MARCUS GARVEY BOULEVARD. When I tell you I walked back inside and asked what her name was I WAS UPSET. Luckily for her I forgot her name but let me tell YOU something little miss Hawaiin shirt (only thing I remember seeing because it was dark). YOU work in BED STUY, there's not much I expect from people but as a bartender the least you can do is acknowledge when someone approaches the bar AND DO YOUR JOB. Your attitude was gross, negligent and a PERFECT representation of the type of place Bed Stuy IS NOT. Take your attitude to flat iron where you can be met with that same energy boo. Not over here. The 5 minutes spent in here told me all that I needed to know about this place. Long story short. Don't come here

This bar used to be called Pelican and it was the worst bar in the neighborhood. The owner closed it and reopened as this tiki bar and now instead of being the worst bar in the neighborhood it's just mediocre/lame.

Came here on a weekday around 8ish pm. Very cool decor. This place is unique and fun. I had a couple really good cocktails. Now the negative: Unfortunately my bartender had zero personality and was not very welcoming. I threw her an easy "alley oop" by telling her it was my first time there and even asked how long they had been open which would have a good opportunity to lock in a return customer but she dropped the ball. Great new spot but maybe she was having a bad day. Not sure I want to give it another try.

This place is a total gem! Spacious with great decor. Came here on a Friday and had no problem getting two seats at the bar. I had a Saturn and a Painkiller, both of which were delicious. The mustachioed bartender was nice. The empanadas from Pilar are CLUTCH, but they were out of the beef and chicken ones. Would def come back -- especially if they add frozen drinks!

I really liked this place! It has a really nice vibe and I love the different sitting areas. It makes it feel like you have your own little private area while still being in a bar. The bartender was nice and the cocktails were good. Service was fast, but there weren't too many people, I assume because the bar is still new. I didn't try any myself, but my friends said the empanadas were good too! Overall, a place I would go back to!

Pretty good, music, drinks, environment- was perfect! I love the lights, nice decorations, reminds me the jungle. Totally lovely!

My friend Frank - the owner of the bar invited me to visit it. I am impressed by the beautiful decoration, the attractive menu, the names of the cocktails. What i liked the most about ZIg Zag Tiki was the prompt and polite service and the latino music. Last but not least all of the drinks have lower suger content.
