Food was amazing. A burger with blue cheese and bacon always calls to me and this was one of the best I've had. The burger was cooked perfectly and the flavors were wonderful. Everything else we had was delicious too. The service - simply the best. Our waiter, Abe, had us laughing and brought the perfect vibe to a great meal. He was legitimately one of my favorite servers of all time. The decor and atmosphere is on point too.

Google
Love the meatball sampler and cocktails at ZigZags! Just an FYI they updated their happy hour so it’s now $2 off apps instead of 1/2 off apps. Can’t go wrong with any of their drinks but I love their whiskey sour as they use fresh egg whites. The atmosphere is a mix of old school classy 20s vibes with modern fun. One of the owners stopped and chatted with us at our table and she was very nice. Overall always a good time and how can you go wrong with meatballs and cocktails!

Google
Dude everything we took a bite of here. We all ordered something different all across the menu. They don't miss it looks like it's closed. They need to fix that but I didn't take any stars for that. If you guys are in the tech center, Denver area servers were great

Google
Our party had a hankerin for burgers and in so glad I found this little gem. Had such a great time at Zig Zag, it server Grant had big party in that so kudos to him, give that guy a bonus! Of course they are know for their burgers, and friggin slay, so good! On top of that, they have an extensive drink menu, and if the rest is as good as their Zombie, then I have to try them all! Definitely headed back, gotta try those meatballs.

Google
I have been wanting to try this place for awhile. I believe the food we ate was alright, but didn't meet my expectations. I had been wanting a great burger for awhile. The burger I got may have missed the mark for me, however I can appreciate the food that they are making here. To start we had the Brussel spouts 8.5/10 and the Crispy Shrimp 7.8/10. The shrimp were pretty good, however the sauce was a little sweet for me. The avocado sauce that came with the shrimp was very good. The shrimp were a little greasy and became soggy as they cooled down, however that's to be expected when food is fried. I started with a wedge salad 9/10, great sized portion with lots of toppings. The burgers, were the reason we were there and they were a little of a let down. I had the lamb burger with a side of broccoli 6.8/10. The burger was a little over cooked, had decent flavor and came with a curry dipping sauce that was just alright. The bun was a total let down, it tasted stale and would have been great if they did a better job warming it up. My friend got the spicy green chilie burger, it was alright, not anything worth running back for 6/10, probably got a few more points because the green chilie was good. The fries are not really worth it at all, no seasoning 3/10. I believe that you can find better burgers in the city. Maybe I will be back one day to try this place out, but I am not running back right away. An upscale burger spot that I wish was better than it is. The service was excellent - our server was friendly and attentive. This place has a great atmosphere and I felt comfortable being here. You will not be disappointed here. I will be back again soon to sample more of the menu.

Google
OMG! We came here after the zoo with our 1 year old for a burger, saw the reviews and said eh why not. As a local turns out it’s the old Gunther Tooties owners children who started the place! They crafted an amazing menu and it was a place where everyone could find something nature and delicious on the menu (including our little picky eater). NILA- the only word I can find to describe her is authenticity!! our server made the experience go from an 8 in food to 10/10! She helped us explore their extensive cocktail menu to find something that we both would enjoy - and her picks were spot on! She was attentive but also not intrusive. She knew exactly when we were ready to order or had a question. Loved having spot on service and also being able to enjoy our lunch as a family. We cannot wait to come back here for a date night - the drinks are amazing!! Such a cool spot - can’t gate keep it for myself!

Google
This was an unexpectedly great restaurant and an overall positive experience. We tried all three types of meatballs (Italian, beef, shrimp) with bolognese sauce and spaghetti and were very impressed. There are lots of other great options on the menu that I want to come back and try.

Google
Super yummy food plus creative cocktails and appetizers. Save room for dessert! Our party (3 adults) had questions and some special requests which our server Grant handled perfectly! He was attentive and knowledgeable and friendly - seemed like all the staff enjoyed working there. We will definitely be back!!! Very enjoyable evening.

Yelp
Stop. What just happened to the mouth on my face? Lamb burger (rare,) green chili, fries, calamari... Burger: perfect Chili: perfect Calamari: so amazingly perfect. Eat here, my friends. Eat here forever.

Yelp
From what I had heard and from the looks of the parking lot, Zig Zag was promised to have some exceptional food, but mostly just ended up being slightly above average. Though the parking lot was full we were promptly seated. For a starter we got the meatball sampler platter. The meatballs ranged in the quality. The best for me was the beef, very dense with some nice seasoning. The pork was also good but the shrimp meatball was my least favorite, with it being a bit too bready. The highlight of the dish and of the whole meal was the ciabatta. The ciabatta was descent enough itself, the perfect amount of fluffiness for scooping up some of the sauces. The best part was the butter sauce that covers the ciabatta. The excess of garlic, rosemary, and butter made it addictive and was the absolute highlight of the meal. The B.M.C. burger was a bit disappointing. The burger itself is a little bit to big that it doesn't allow any other ingredients to be highlighted. The sauce didn't really complement the burger as well as I'd like and the bacon didn't add much. The bun was also very mediocre. The mushrooms were good but the lack of a unifying sauce really hindered the burger. The fries were bad as they were just not salted enough. They reminded me of McDonald's fries in almost all aspects except taste where they just lacked any flavor. I'd like to give Zig Zag another chance and try some other items to see if the experience is improved.

Yelp
Well - Friday night my husband wanted to meet for dinner after work... so he decided to select Zig Zap - mind you we've been there before and I and the food was pretty tasty and that made me happy with my experience so, being me, I gave it another try. For some reason I just couldn't get with the food I ordered and our appetizer which was the shrimp : I ordered the patty melt and fries and my husband ordered the bacon cheeseburger and fries. My coke was like water as it was the previous time before and the waitress shared that it's always a hit or miss. Mind you it's $5 for a glass of soda My husband who loves burgers only ate half of his and my patty melt - I just couldn't eat it. Was it the beef? Is it because I'm a woman of color and I like my food seasoned? I don't know but it was not good. The waitress was great though and the restaurant is pretty need with the decore and the atmosphere with the r and b music and white-Italian gangsta wall pics... Don't get me wrong from my Previous visit the chicken fingers aren't bad and they have amazing drinks from the bar. I hope they get the burgers right and the coke too! Maybe it was just an off night in the kitchen

Yelp
I can always count on Zig! The food is always amazing, service is always fabulous and vibes are always right.

Yelp
Zig Zag is one of the few restaurants I go to on a regular basis. Their food and service are amazing and they have a great cocktail program, changing part of their cocktail menu seasonally, but keeping the standards (Death to 2020, Old Fashioned, Sazeric). Here are some of my favorite dishes there: * Meatballs (you have to try the Shrimp balls - amazing) * Hamburgers (I really like the Patty Melt and Bubbas Blue) * Pork Joint appetizer * Shrimp appetizer * Lasagna The place is locally owned and the service there is amazing. Their bars and staff make and pour the best drinks. They also have a good selection of beers. Will be back soon!

Yelp
Stopped by last Friday and the place was packed and wait was about an hour. Decided to try again on Sunday after the lunch rush. Got seated right away by the wait staff and cheerful server came over and took the drink order. It was quite Sunday afternoon. Very cozy ambiance. Drinks and food came out in timely manner. The beets salad was disappointing. Beets came out of a can (very mushy) and placed on top of arugula and few pieces of goat cheese crumbs spread out. Cheesy burger? Still felt like precooked sat around for awhile type. Definitely not freshly prepared. I should just went to Wendy's. Do not repeat!

Barb G.

Yelp
It was lunch time, we were hungry and we were in the area so I Yelped to see what was available in the area. Zig Zag came up so decided to try it. Wow and wow! We walked through the door and not only were we welcomed by some amazing smells from the kitchen but the staff was so welcoming and friendly! We were seated immediately and no sooner had we sat , we were greeted by our server. He asked if it was our first time and when we said yes, he explained things and offered suggestions. Apparently they specialize in meatballs! Two of us ordered burgers, I got the ZZ's Cheesy Burger, asked for grilled onions and tons of pickles, which was accommodated with no questions. Also we ordered the Smokin Spicy Chili, which was reported as having the exact amount of spice and some "killer" green chili covering it! The Hoffens was a good burger as reported with fresh arugula and roasted red peppers. Love their fries! They are cooked to perfection and I asked to have mine cooked crispy...again another accommodation that was well received! The other side was their slaw, which was actually good but a bit different? It's not like the typical, sloppy in white sauce kinda of slaw...it was fresh and crisp with a light sauce to top it off. Lots of herbs to bring out a wonderful slaw! We also ordered the kids chicken strips and fries and we all loved the breading on the chicken...not too thick and the chicken inside was moist and tender! This is definitely worth going back to and next time I'm going for the meatballs that they are famous for!

Yelp
100 % YES!!! I've been here a few times, and the atmosphere is fantastic! It's such a fun place with many unique drinks and a good menu. The menu is not overly saturated but has variety because the Italian restaurant next to it has the same owners, so it's one whole menu. Great music and food! Plenty of parking!! It is family-owned with an excellent staff. Great place for casual dining and drinks! Somehow, I deleted my food photographs 10 out of 10 recommended!

Leroy J.

Yelp
Excellent server and good food. We had reservations and were seated quickly. I had the pork meat balls with spaghetti, yum yum. Hope to go back

Gene T.

Yelp
Second time here and enjoy it! Good burgers. Good fries. Good meatballs. Good cocktails. Good service. It is noisy. Good food. Like it here.

Sarah F.

Yelp
Good food with varied options for the family that can't agree on what they want for dinner. Dining room is a little closely packed and pretty loud. No complaints about food or service, we enjoyed ourselves and had a good dinner here. Wow. After ordering a root beer float my 11yo daughter has found her new favorite thing! I have to admit they are pretty tasty. Don't think I will be able to replicate back home so I hope she doesn't get too attached.

Jeffry C.

Yelp
Love the fell of this place ... straight from the bat , everyone was sooooo nice and helpful with what to pick . There are 2 sides to the place and so I picked the zig zag spot ... the food was great. Had a street taco and a burger ... the street taco 10/10 ... the burger 7.9/10 was missing some flavor but I won't knock it ... the smoked old fashions 10/10 , sooooo good ... the ambiance of the place was nice , loved everything about the place ... kinda in a weird zone but I got over it when I went inside ... I will be back

Brittany B.

Yelp
Zag is great - quality every time we've been in. Whether we've gotten some of their balls (surprisingly the shrimp was a favorite!), burgers, chicken sandwiches, or the salmon, we've never been disappointed! The drinks are great as well, including the chocolate shake - which they do allow you to take to-go if you've filled up on yummy entrées and apps. I also really appreciate that they give you your own water carafe for the table. Service is always friendly and prompt. We'll continue to stop in, and you should check them out too!

Carly C.

Yelp
Staff was friendly but the food was awful. Tried a patty melt and it seemed like it was made by someone who has never actually seen a patty melt before. It was like a cheeseburger, with pickles, on Texas toast. So odd.

Lauren H.

Yelp
The crispy ginger lime shrimp was amazing! Crispy, flavorful! The burgers were okay... They didn't have a lot of flavor so it was a little disappointing. There are other items on the menu I'd like to try someday! Hopefully they are slightly better.

Bill K.

Yelp
This was my first visit as I was looking for a really good burger. My burger patty was cooked to order and had just the right amount of toppings. The atmosphere was enjoyable, great wait staff.

Victor B.

Yelp
Zig Zag is one of those uncommon restaurants whose quality has been good and consistent over the years. Service is also always top notch. When we visit I'll typically order one of their delicious burgers...ZZ's cheesy is always a sure bet. On this visit I had their blue cheese burger with onions and bacon. This burger is equally good. Fries with their comeback sauce...you can't go wrong. The restaurant shares a space with a darker, more intimate space that serves meat balls... It's been a while since we've had their meatballs but they're also very good. Prices for the quality are decent. Needless to say, we will be back.

Brynn B.

Yelp
Thursday afternoon, stopped in for lunch and ate at the bar! Super rad cocktail menu, and great for many to go with it. Mireya was my bartender and I went off of her recommendation with the pulled pork. It was great! Had her make me a daiquiri with Diplomatico Rum, and she crushed it! Bar was clean, menus were nice, and the music station matched to vibe! Can't wait to come back

Nathan C.

Yelp
I love this place. The atmosphere is great, always comfortable and clean. The service is top notch every single time. I like their menu as well because it has a lot of different things, not just burgers. Every thing I've eaten here has been outstanding. I usually go with the shishito peppers as an app, any of the burgers are great. The chicken tenders are really good. Portions huge. Prices reasonable. It's hard to beat. Matter of fact, I think I'm going to go there today.

Shahan A.

Yelp
(Forgot I've been here before, but I already wrote another review in my Notes app, so I'll just paste it) Ordered takeout, so my food was mediocre. Kung fu burger was good, but you can probably get something better. I also told them to go easy on the goat cheese but there was still a good amount. And, as usual for any burger place, the fries were hopelessly soft by the time I got home. Cherry lime soda was amazing though; mixed it with some ice cream from my freezer to make a float.

Bonni R.

Yelp
Another great meal at Zig Zag! Had a chance to chat with owner Brittany who is always personable and our server Mireya was excellent - friendly and efficient with great suggestions. Of course I had the Gypsy Tears cocktail which was perfectly concocted. The pork nachos were huge with a lot of tasty toppings and I appreciated that the smoky Adobe sauce and green chili were on the side. The burger was excellent (more of that delicious green chili) and served open faced on a thick slice of Texas toast. Even their fries are delicious- thin and crispy.they have desserts that sound amazing and I'll have to save room next time.

Diane Z.

Yelp
First time in, the hostess was very polite which is so refreshing since she seemed young. When we were greeted by Hannah our waitress, she was super friendly, and very professional, we had Great service! We tried the Balls with two different sauces one classic and one Bolognese- we suggest the bolognese - and the pulled pork sandwich with fries- and gosh if they both were delicious! This was a drive for us, however we'd make it again as long as we can sit in Hannah's section- this place is great for early lunch, business lunch or date night, ya just can't go wrong. The menu had plenty to choose from.

Paul S.

Yelp
Starting to see a sad trend as the past couple visits have been less than stellar. Inattentive waiter who seemed disappointed we didn't order alcohol. Ambiance and vibe is still solid. They got rid of the Triple Pig sandwich which was a bit disappointing. Still a solid choice but losing its luster sadly.

Gloria C.

Yelp
Enjoying Burger Restaurant Week! Such great choices for Burgers and drinks. See photos to follow!

Alison L.

Yelp
One of our favorite spots. Great food and customer service! Had the sashimi and burger. The drinks are top notch!

Lianna B.

Yelp
Recently went here for a large work gathering and staff were super great. Easy to make the reservation, no deposit or minimum amount spent needed for a group of 30 people and everything was set up and ready when we got there with attentive service. I tried the lamb burger and it was solid, cooked exactly how I asked for and lots of cheese. They had a great variety of burger options to choose from. I split it with my husband and they kindly brought the burger and fries on 2 separate plates already split at no extra charge. The fries were plentiful but not my favorite (similar to McDonald's) but the burger I ordered came with a curry sauce that also made for a great dipping sauce which made them a lot better. They are nextdoor to meatball eatery so you can also order from that menu, I will definitely try that next time. From the parking lot which is the back of the building you will only see a sign for meatball eatery but it's a shared building and parking lot and the entrance is right beside meatball eatery.

Dave E.

Yelp
Met a friend for early dinner. My wife and the friend ordered Reubens. My wife and I had been in 2 days earlier so she could have a Reuben and had been disappointed because it didn't have enough sauerkraut so this time she ordered hers with EXTRE sauerkraut. It was PERFECT .., best ever!!! I had Tomato Soup and the Cheese Sandwich. The soup was really good -- Very thick and tasty. The sandwich was good but what could've made it great would have been at least an option for BACON. Bacon's available on burgers here s it could/should be an option.

Denise T.

Yelp
I honestly don't think I have ever had a bad meal at Zig Zag. Everything from the meatballs to the burgers to the fun cocktails, everything has been great. I love the crispy ginger lime shrimp and the delicious sauce it comes with. The house balls are always a great staple where you pick you type of ball, sauce and pasta. It is great to make it your own. The ZZ's cheesy burger is amazing! Super cheesy and messy. The service is always on point. We have sat at the bar and in the dining rooms and never had a bad server. Great place!

Veronica G.

Yelp
Great service. The guy was quick and offered selection ideas. Food was tasty too! Only complaint would be the fries remind me of a cheap McDonald's version. Nothing to write home about.

Todd F.

Yelp
Disappointing experience. Rude staff. Instead of an apology and solution for issue got a "we're losing money" excuse.

Andrea K.

Yelp
After all the amazing reviews, we decided that they couldn't be wrong and it was a correct assessment! Wow! The whole family was super impressed by this place. I opted for the nachos as my meal and they were fantastic! Great coverage, yummy sauces, delicious meat...perfection! Hubs went for the burger because- hey, it's in the name! He said it was really good. He didn't share, so... Then my little was super excited to have the kids pasta with red sauce AND meatballs. She was in heaven! She said it was the best spaghetti and meatballs ever and the portion was ENORMOUS! She was able to enjoy it again the next day and still didn't finish it. We were definitely a happy crew. I want to return for happy hour too but dinner was top notch and we'll definitely return!

Melanie T.

Yelp
Came here yesterday with my family and had an AMAZING meal. First off, order the sashimi appetizer because it was amazing, even the coleslaw had me wanting more. We each got a different hamburger; I went with the ZZ's cheesy burger with a lettuce wrap instead of a bread bun and it was so good. Didn't miss the bread at all. Their fries were also really good. Overall service were attentive and helpful as it was our first time. As we were finishing up our meal, more people were coming in. The ambiance was great and would definitely come back!

Amanda C.

Yelp
I've been here a few times now, and the atmosphere is awesome! It's such a fun place with a lot of unique drinks and a good menu. The menu is not overly saturated but has variety because the Italian restaurant next to it has the same owners, so it's one whole menu. The bread does get really soggy, however, but that's my only gripe.

Paola M.

Yelp
It was my first time at the ZigZag Smokin Burger. Restaurant has plenty of parking. Bathrooms were clean, which I appreciated that. We ordered the meatball appetizer, which came with 3 different type of meatballs . classic, pork , shrimp and yummy garlic bread-almost ate the whole bread myself .The shrimp meatball was my favorite ( crunchy on the outside and tenderness on the inside). Our service was very nice and attentive. We will come again and try happy hour next time.

Megan B.

Yelp
Big fan! Locally/family owned, good food, tasty cocktails, two concepts in one and happy hour at the bar all day, erry day! Stopped in for the HH on Friday evening not knowing the HH is all day if you sit at the bar! Got the shishuto peppers that are not just charred but also are dusted with togarashi and served with a tasty aioli of some kind. It's not hard to get these peppers right but the new flavors and pairings made them some of the best I've had. Ordered mo money mo problems drank and it was smooth and nutty. Got the meat balls with sauce that usually comes with bread but subbed fries and the Alfredo sauce was so creamy, cheese and delish I can't wait to come back. The servers gave good recs, were timely and chatty. Wishing this weren't like a 35 minute drive from house or I'd be here ALLL THE TIME.

Michelle Nam Phuong L.

Yelp
Zig Zag is the sister/adjacent to Meatball Eatery! They are owned by the same chef and honestly both give such a great experience! The only complication I have is that some of their seating on this side of the restaurant can be very uncomfortable. They have great burgers and you can order from their menu and Meatball Eatery as well! I love their lamb burger, it hits the spot every time.

Megan N.

Yelp
Always a good time at Zig Zag! My husband and I love to grab a burger at the bar together to watch a weekend game. The service is excellent. Food quality and cleanliness is very high. Check them out!

Lori B.

Yelp
Another stellar meal at ZigZag. Our waiter was attentive throughout the meal. Our drinks were never empty and our meals cooked to perfection: Ribs with Mac & Cheese, hamburger on sourdough with the fries. I ordered a Vanilla Bean Beer which was spot on with notes of vanilla. We were in the smaller dining area - decor to me was gentleman's club. It was a relaxing meal.

Andrew L.

Yelp
Always a great time here. The service is immaculate! The music was perfect and the food is always great. I keep coming back because it's so good and I feel welcomed. Shout out to Kay! She's so professional and knows the menu! She is awesome! Always great service from her! Overall, I'm going to keep coming back! Worth it!

Yelp
The absolute worst service I have experienced in Denver. We were sitting for a while before our server was by to take our drink order. (kind of) My partner asked a question about one of the cocktails and the server had to ask the bar, that was the last we would see of him for a good 15 minutes. Then he came back to get our drinks and didn't even have the answer he left to get. So we just ordered and before we could even tell him we were ready to order our food, he was gone again. 5-6 minutes later we finally got to order and had drinks on our table. (About 25 minutes into being sat) The food was mediocre, the only flavor in the risotto was Parmesan, and the Mac & cheese was dry. The triple pig sandwich and meatballs were pretty good but not good enough for the prices they are charging. We didn't even try to take our leftovers home because it wasn't good enough to want to eat twice. TL:DR - Mediocre food at sky high prices, with the worst service in Denver. There are better options for your $$

Karen C.

Yelp
We had a party of 13. Server was very good with the large table. Food was very good. Husband had the meatballs and really enjoyed. Burger was very good too.

Eric B.

Yelp
This place was recommended to us, so we went there for lunch today. We had the meatball sample platter and one of their signature burgers. The meatballs were delicious. My wife's favorite was the shrimp balls with Alfredo sauce with mine being the beef with bolognese. We also shared the burger and we weren't disappointed. It was cooked perfectly. It was made with good, quality ingredients. Our server was Nikola and he was fantastic. He walked us through the menu and helped us with our order. The only disappointment was the French fries. They didn't look appetizing and tasted even worse. More like school lunch fries. Even though the fries were a miss, I highly recommend Zig Zag Burgers. A must try.

Stan L.

Yelp
The staff is amiable and the whole restaurant is beautifully decorated. As for the food, the quality is excellent. The burgers reminded me of my childhood, maybe even better. The fries were good too.

Mateo E.

Yelp
After driving past Zig Zag more often than I'd like,, the time was right. Hunger, convenience, and the idea of a solid burger at 9pm (dead of night in suburbia) converged for me recently in Centennial. I took a seat at the bar, was quickly greeted, offered a food menu, and asked if I'd like something to drink. Yes, I would. "Woods Boss Coastal Companion, please." Pouring this brewery's suds indicates that Zig Zag offers a tap list better curated than most burger joints care to serve. I ordered the BMC burger--Bacon, Mushrooms, (Swiss) Cheese--to go--and settled in with my beer. When not checking out the X Games, I took in the ambiance. While many tables were taken, it was quiet. Conversation was easy. Decor was easy on the eyes. My burger showed up and I hit the road, ready to chow down at home. Simply, this BMC burger hit the spot. While the patty could use some seasoning, its quality was evident with each bite. I skipped the comeback sauce. Three strips of bacon teamed with grilled and substantial 'shrooms and surprisingly appropriate Swiss cheese to make my palate sing. Fries were forgettable, but not bad. They provided a sizable cup of ketchup, but it tasted like Hunt's. Ick. Who serves Hunt's? Advantage: Take out. I have plenty of Heinz en casa. Besides the ketchup, the only things I didn't like were not that big a deal: The bun was substantial--too much. I peeled off the top to better taste the rest of the burger. Taking 35 minutes to make a burger when it wasn't that busy. I guess the bar closes earlier than the dining room (11pm, awesome) and the tenders were too busy cleaning/prepping to cash me out, then never came back once I got the check. Paying cash remains a vibrant option in 2023.

Yelp
Great service and best burger I've ever had. Loved the ambience and decor. Will definitely visit again.

Yelp
My friend and I met up here for lunch and both loved it! Even though neither of us ordered a burger (or meatballs), we loved our meals! She ordered the chicken fried steak and I got the crispy chicken sandwich (added $3 to switch out the fries for tomato soup... worth it!!). Our chicken were both moist and flavorful. And I love that they both came with a fried egg on top. Fried eggs make the world go round! I'll definitely be back and be suggesting Zig Zag for other friend outings and get togethers!

Yelp
Quick, attentive service, strong WiFi and good food & drink. I spent my time working at the bar but the entire restaurant had a great relaxing vibe and If this spot was in my hometown I'd be a regular. Checks all of my boxes.

Yelp
My husband and I went here for dinner tonight and it was so good! Our server, Alex, was nice and attentive and I had the best burger I have ever had. I ordered the Kung Fu Lamb burger and it was incredible, such great flavor. My husband ordered just the regular cheeseburger and he liked that as well. They also made a great Margarita! I would definitely go back!
