Zooies - Review - Culver City - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"We’ve regretted a lot of gas station cookies, but not these. Zooies’ storefront is inside a Culver City gas station with a menu of nearly 50 cookies—some have kooky names that sound like characters from Cocomelon (chewie, gooie, mooie), and others are topped with pistachios, cream cheese frosting, or apple slices. Picking one out of the bunch is like taking a personality quiz, but our favorite is the Panda, a must for Oreo lovers—it’s studded with melty white chocolate chips and crushed up cookie bits." - Cathy Park

20 Exquisite Cookie Destinations in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"Believe it, Los Angeles has quality cookies at a gas station with up to 30 cookies available. Most don’t realize the Oreo-filled vegan panda cookie is without dairy but don’t leave without a few ginger molasses cookies for later. Cookie hunters can also score at Culver City’s Citizen Public Market from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday through Sunday." - Eater Staff

I had a good experience here today. I picked up some cookies and the young lady behind the counter told me to have a great rest of my day. That was really cool. She could’ve said just thank you and kept working. I appreciate that it made my day. These are the type of things that keeps your business thriving

Only having one outlet in LA makes Zooies kinda standout to me especially knowing they’re pretty popular. Beyond that obviously the fact that it’s located in a gas station. Won’t complain though as it’s killing two birds with one stone, getting your car fueled and so do you. The variety of flavors are huge, feels like it can serve any kind of preferences. Their classic top 3 however stays strong as the must-try I think, the Gooey, the Chewie and just the basic chocolate chip. I did try the Cloud 9, Strawberry Cheesecake, Panda, and some more before but finding myself still came back to those 3. They worked best for my palate both texture and flavors.

Get a cookie with your gas why don’t ya. This is a genius concept. Wish there were more Zooies around. Like at a laundromat, liquor store, check cashing place…church. They have immense options…you will stare for minutes. Vegan chocolate chip was the best for me.

Google
Amazing homemade cookies from a bakery within a gas station. About 100 varieties, including several scrumptious gluten-free and vegan options. Arguably the best in LA.

When someone tells you a cookie is one of LA’s most beloved chocolate chip cookies, you better believe I marched in like a full-on food critic, armed with sky-high expectations and a very judgmental sweet tooth. And let me tell you—I got absolutely wrecked in the best way possible. That chocolate chip cookie didn’t just impress me. It took me on a first-class trip to a brown butter day spa where every bite was gooey, buttery, crunchy-edged bliss. I’m talking close-your-eyes-and-hum-a-little bliss. But wait—it gets even better. The brownie? Illegal levels of gooey, with the perfect hit of sweetness that makes you question every other brownie you’ve ever loved. The carrot cake cookie? A sweet-sour flavor bomb that had me giggling uncontrollably like a toddler on a sugar rush. Even my dog—who usually treats carrots like enemy vegetables—devoured her carrot cookie like she was starring in her own cooking show finale. Honestly, if teleportation were a thing, we’d already be back there. In fact, if you see a cookie-shaped blur whizzing past you… that’s just me.

Google
I never would have guessed that some of the best cookies that I’ve had in LA are in a small gas station in the Palms district. I’m not a fan of Crumbl at all and thankfully these cookies are nothing like that. They are soft but not cakey soft and are packed with flavor. They have at least 20 different flavor options so it’s easy to try something new each visit. Pricing is fair and service was very fast. When we arrived there were 4 people in front of us and 3 behind us so the secret is out on these bomb cookies. Parking can be a little tricky when the gas station is busy, but they do have a at least 6 spots on the north side of the station. Inside looks like what you would expect, a full service gas station but in one corner is Zooies and is run by their own employees. For my first visit I tried the Birthday Cake, Salted Caramel, and the S’mores and loved each of them. I would honestly get each of them again and already plan to be back in the near future to try more flavors.

Google
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Zooies Cookies is a hidden gem that absolutely deserves more locations! Their cookies are unbelievably delicious—soft, chewy, and packed with unique flavors that make every bite a delight. It’s the kind of place you crave after just one visit. Zooies needs to open more locations so everyone can experience these amazing cookies! So lucky to live close by and soooo many choices to chose from😋😋🤨

Google
The greatest cookies I’ve ever had and it’s setup at a gas station! Amazing cookies and the selection is way more than expected. I had the walnut gooie, cloud 9, the chunkie and the chocolate oatie. All four were delicious and had its own distinctive style. They lived up to the “gooie” expectation and were really filling. I think two cookies were enough to get me good & the others were extra credit. Load up on napkins and the customer service was great. Just be aware the gas station didn’t have whole milk, just 2% but all the cookies were still phenomenal by themselves. I’d definitely come back again to try their other menu items.

Yelp
Would I brave this hectic gas station lot to get Zooies? Heck yeah.. anything to get that delicious Morning Glory cookie. I've been hooked on these cookies for years and the cravings hit quite often. These are truly my favorite cookies in LA. The Gooie is perfectly soft in the middle and crispy on the edges. I love that these cookies aren't too sweet, especially the Morning Glory so I can even eat them for breakfast. The staff is always so friendly (and kind when I call to see if they have certain cookies in stock). The store is very clean and bright, and feels separate enough that it doesn't feel like it's in a gas station. I've given these as gifts before and brought them to parties (they have cute boxed packaging). My friends have gotten hooked on them and made Zooies our go-to cookie joint.

Yelp
Bruhhhh. Its a bakery in a Gas Station? I got so many questions. So lemme set the scene for you: I had an amazing 39-year-old Saturday -- nice walk at the ucla Botanical Gardens, took my dog to Rosie's Beach, saw an Indie film @ Laemelle with the homies, Ramen w/ my bestie after that. then the sweet monster pulled up... and if you read my reviews, you know her name is Sheila, she gotta attitude. And shes VERY demanding. Shelia wanted something sweet & threatened me if I didn't take her to it. And I'm too single and too out of shape to be fighting my inner demons on a Saturday night on a full stomach so... I Googled "best cookies near me," and Zooies popped up 4 mins away. Drove to the address and bruh Why the fck am I at a gas station???? Clearly thought my GPS had me fcked up but... But then I saw a giant sign that said "Zooies" inside what i have determined is the swankiest, most well lit (inside and out) gas station in LA. Iont really understand how none ah dis works but that ain't none of my business... The cookie selection at 11:30 PM? Pretty damn vast. and it wasn't just cookies. It's also bars & these sort of muffin top cookie things & coffee cake. A few were gone, but plenty left. As his customary for me in a new place, I asked the cashier -- who was hella cool (wish I got bros name for this) -- what his favorite was. He said the Boston Cream Pie. Now, lemme just state for the record... Ya girl HATES marshmallows OUTSIDE OF A RICE CRISPY TREAT. I don't want 'em in, on, or near me. Buuuuttt.... exploratory missions aren't right unless they come with a recommendation from the person who knows better than you. So i grabbed one.... uggghhhh With mad fcking reluctance might I add. also grabbed the walnut coffee cake and shortbread cookie cuz cant go wrong with shortbread.... (Famous last words.) Now we gotta talk about the mf'ing playlist in the cookie shop. Unreasonably good. Im talking Lyfe Jennings, Keith Sweat, Monica -- the soundtrack for either romance or emotional collapse. Cause remember, I just went through a break up so I am highly emotionally volatile and capable of busting into tears at a moments notice... I digress Funny thing i noticed: the gas station attendant was behind bulletproof glass. The baker, however, with the cookies? Twas Not. LOL If the place got robbed, guess the cookies go first. A bold strategy. LOL i digress yet again. Anyway... I ate the Boston Cream Pie in the car cuz #Greed. Shockingly, it slapped. The marshmallow ....worked. unfortunately, it was cold as hell like it just came out the freezer and I wish it was warm or even room temp. At home, I tried the shortbread cookie --SPIT IT OUT IMMEDIATELY -twas was moist, firmishly soft... Like cold mashed potato vibes. Deeply unsettling. The coffee cake? My mom loved it. I thought it tasted.... meh Would I go back for the cookies? Nope. One outta three aint good enough odds for me. That's not even a C. Buuuuttttt.... Would I go back for the ambiance, the playlist, and ole buddy behind the counter? Ummmhnmm, sho'll would

Yelp
I personally haven't been to Zooies, but I've been lucky enough to taste their cookies. Someone decided to bring a box to a potluck and I'm sure glad they did because the cookies were delicious! In opening the box the cookies didn't look overwhelming (I'm looking to you, Crumbl lol). Cookies were a perfect size and there was so much variety. Little did I know after checking their website they had even more variety than what was already in the box. I heard the brown butter chocolate chip was very good, I enjoyed their cookies and cream flavor so much. I plan on coming in myself one day, Zooies! Want to try out more flavors from their menu - they even sell bars.

Yelp
These cookies are absolutely delicious! Staff is friendly. It's a clean space. Interesting location- but there is always parking.

Yelp
I'm a TOUGH judge on good chocolate chip cookies. I'm not much of a sweets person but I love me a good cookie! So my favorite has always been Bristol farms. But I had to stop in after hearing about this place. And they were good, but not anything special to me. Definitely wouldn't come back for them. They're very similiar to a sandwich shop cookie. Flat, a bit soft. I liked it. But I wasn't like omg these are amazing. Easy gas station parking

Yelp
Located inside of a gas station, this cookie shop is pretty cool and stays open late! I loved their showcase display of cookies and their varieties from classics to specialty and even vegan options. Service was friendly and quick to package up my order. I tried their vegan Blissful Brownie and their Strawberry Cheesecake. The brownie was extremely moist but thick and dry like a heartburn you would get from too much peanut butter haha. 3/5 The strawberry cheesecake was good but more of a cake than cookie and cold. I assumed they were freshly made, but seems to be fridged. 4/5 Their cookies were decent for the price point. I do appreciate the variety of options and think it's a great place to pick up cookies fast for a party or get together.

Yelp
I was in dire need of a catering order for Vegan cookies/desserts since one of our vendors for our large event cancelled at the last minute. I called Zooies and they came to the rescue. They were incredibly understanding and willing to work with us in such a short time crunch. Since we needed the desserts as soon as possible, their team offered to personally deliver the order so they got to our event on time. The Zooies staff is amazing and the desserts came warm, fresh, and delicious. I'll forever be thankful to them and would love do business with them again

Yelp
Have you ever had a cookie so good that when you are all alone eating it you scream out, "OMG this is the most amazing cookie ever?" Well that happened to me today! Zooies, located in a gas station on National Blvd. of all places has the most incredible selection of freshly baked cookies you will find. I'm pleased to say that all of them are delicious but my three favorites are the Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie, with a crispy outside, chewy inside, and the most buttery, chocolatey flavor, the Carmelate with a butter cookies base and topped with homemade caramel and semi-sweet chocolate, and the Yellow Brick Road with oatmeal and butterscotch chips. Service is quick and friendly and the ambience is pure cookie heaven! If you're in the Beverlywood area you have to stop in!

Yelp
The best cookies in LA hands down! Highly recommend coming to check out Zooies! The panda cookie is my favorite and one of their top sellers forsure! Location is very convenient and they stay open pretty late which is amazing. The employees are really great and friendly. Been going here for quite the while and never had an issue with this but apparently you're only allowed to microwave two cookies per customer? I was taken aback because I was never told this before and I understand that the employees were only trying to do their job but this has never been brought up. If that's the case would it be okay if I had separate transactions because it didn't quite make sense to me. Nonetheless I really love Zooies!

Yelp
The best cookies you'll ever get at a gas station, I guarantee you that! And the widest selection, freshest...the list goes on. These people know what they're doing. Everything here is solid but a highlight is that they have THREE different just chocolate chip cookies based on your preference: Brown Butter, Ooie, and Chewie (Ooie is my personal favorite but they're known for their Brown Butter Chocolate Chip). And that's not even counting chocolate chip cookies that only have nuts or pretzels or oats added to them. I recently discovered the Marzipan Crunch, which is like an almond croissant in cookie form. A new favorite! Other favorites of mine are the Panda, Cloud 9, and Gimme S'more. They also have a great selection of gluten-free, vegan, and diabetic-friendly options so there's something for everyone. Yes, it's in a gas station, but still a nice shop to visit. The display case will make your mouth water!

Yelp
Tucked away inside a gas station mini mart that I frequent, it took me forever to finally try Zooies until someone said something about the best cookies in LA being there. Well, okay then! Next time I came for gas I went to buy some. A variety of flavors and large cookies good for sharing. They each run about 3.50 to 4 dollars so I scrapped my idea of buying a dozen. They are definitely worth a purchase and a nice treat for a fancy dessert at home now and then. I'll treat the family again down the road!

Yelp
Wonderful little spot inside of a gas station. The employee was very helpful walking me through all the choices. The brown butter chocolate chip and panda cookies tasted great. Love the texture and flavors. Not overbearingly sweet. Perfect with a cup of milk. Convenient get gas at the same time too (this station has E85!!)
google avatar

Yelp
Inside is really clean and nice! Cookies are $3-$4. Service is very friendly explaining the favorites and what's in each! Cookie was yummy but not like amazing as in you need to go out of your way.

Yelp
Zooies is an la classic for cookies. Tucked inside a gas station convenience store, they offer fresh cookies that can be heated up for some melty goodness. They also offer 50% off cookies, which I didn't get a chance to ask about this time. We were overwhelmed with the huge selection of cookies when we first came in, but the store staff very helpfully explained their bestsellers. My partner and I got the banana cream pie, the brown butter chocolate chip, and the panda. The banana cream pie cookie had pieces of actual banana in there and truly tasted like the cookie version of a banana cream pie! The brown butter chocolate chip was indulgently chocolatey with a subtle espresso flavor - it was a bit too sweet for me but my partner who's a chocolate lover was a huge fan. Finally, the panda cookie was filled with white and brown chocolate cream that reminded me of Oreos baked inside a cookies. All three cookies were so good!! They were definitely on the sweeter side so I had a hard time eating more than one in one sitting. The price to quality ratio was quite good considering the inventiveness of the cookie flavors. Overall Zooies has quickly climbed to one of my top cookie experiences in la :)
google avatar

Nina T.

Yelp
Who knew cookies from inside a gas station convenient store can be so good?! But really, they are located inside a gas station convenient store. When I searched up cookies in LA I thought google maps for it wrong when I arrived at the gas station. They have such a huge assortment! The staff was helpful and patient as I looked over each cookie on display before purchasing. My favorites were the cheesecake cookie and brown butter chocolate chip. They even last for several days and still taste as fresh as the first. My daughter and I love this place and often come when we need our cookie fix. This is the ONLY cookie place I'll go.
google avatar

Denise H.

Yelp
Love the cookies. It's frustrating when the clerk doesn't label the cookies. I'm a senior and try very hard to watch my sugar intake. When I asked the clerk about no sugar items she was very knowledgeable about the product but still didn't give me the cookie with no sugar. I paid for several cookies and each was in a separate bag. When I asked which 1 was the no sugar one she didn't know. I would appreciate if she labeled the no sugar one. I've experienced the clerks putting the cookies all in one box. And had to figure out what each cookie was what flavor. Looks like I have to label each one myself???

Yelp
Heard from a friend that an unsuspecting gas station in Culver City has some of the best cookies in LA so decided to check it out on a Tuesday night around 10:30pm. There were still lots of cookies left. I got the Brown Butter Chocolate Chip cookie and it was delicious! Definitely could taste the toasty, nutty flavor coming from the brown butter. Zooeis satisfied my sweet tooth craving for the night. I would come back to try other flavors!
google avatar

Serina L.

Yelp
Zooies is sooo good I tell everyone and their moms about this place. It's located inside a gas station shop but the whole place is very new, clean, and modern. The gas station is easy to navigate and there's a whole row of parking in the back. They have online ordering but I like to go in and order based on what looks good. I love anything brown butter here, the birthday cake, and the panda. The matcha cookie was okay. You can ask them to warm it up for you so you can enjoy them hot! They are sweet, so definitely pair with some milk or your drink of choice. Best cookie place ever! It's open late too but some of the more popular flavors tend to sell out the later part of the day.
google avatar

Rene P.

Yelp
Great hidden cookie spot! Amazing variety, wayyyy more than Crumbl Cookie! I got wedding cookie, peanut butter jelly, peanut butter chocolate, strawberry cheesecake (kind of disappointed on this one, it's just cream cheese and jelly on top), matcha (my favorite, it also has macadamia nuts), and vegan panda. Overall amazing cookies, will definitely go back to try other flavors

Marianne S.

Yelp
Yes, but they were out of sourdough desserts. I came late. The cookie I got was delicious but not healthy for me. So glad I found d this place after looking for healthier desserts.
google avatar

Dani L.

Yelp
Truly one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've had. Their other cookies are hot and miss (second favorite was banana pie) so just going to hoard the brown butter chocolate chips next time
google avatar

EJ B.

Yelp
This was in my foodie wish list. Came on a raining day so wasn't crowded. Customer service was great they explained the cookies and gave you time to make choice as there are so many. We went with the dozen. Zooies sits inside a gas station so just park and walk inside.
google avatar

E B.

Yelp
If you're a local, sure. However I traveled for these and was a little disappointed. Their specialty cookies aren't that special (the s'mores cookie is just a chocolate chip cookie with a marshmallow placed on top very moderately toasted). The staff seemed like they were ready to go home. The experience was pretty meh.
google avatar

Remy H.

Yelp
Crowd favorite! A little pricey but they are large in size. Too hard to choose a favorite but pb&j is definitely at the top of the list!

Yelp
My friend said that there were really good cookies at this gas station, including vegan cookies. I wasn't sure what to expect for gas station cookies, but WOW these cookies are really good! First of all, this doesn't look like your average gas station. Pulling into the parking lot at night, it's very modern-looking and well lit. Walking into the convenience store, there is a cookie counter with a large variety of fresh-baked cookies on display. On the evening that we visited, they had two vegan options for the fresh-baked cookies: Vegan Morning Glory and Vegan Panda. I had no idea what that meant but the gal behind the counter was very helpful in providing the description of both flavors. Morning Glory is like a breakfast muffin with fruity flavors. Panda has Oreo cookie pieces. Vegan Panda piqued my interest. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/zooies-los-angeles?select=Tgrm9ff2KMdbpa1SntR03w Also, they sell day-old cookies for half off. Guess what flavor they had that evening? Vegan chocolate chip!!! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/zooies-los-angeles?select=i6yO9msv09umzRbOJoIsbw The texture of both cookies had that nice balance of just enough bite with a bit of soft chewiness. The flavors had a bit of a twist. For instance, the chocolate chip tasted like it had a bit of nutmeg or some other spice that I can't quite put my finger on. So delicious! Tasty cookies at great prices! I used to live in the area. I think if this place existed, I would pick up cookies here way too frequently. But if I'm ever in this area, I'll gladly stop by for a yummy treat.

Alexandra M.

Yelp
Who knew the gas station had the BEST cookies in LA??? WEIRD and AWESOME! Now every time we get gas I'm getting a cookie.
google avatar

Evanne D.

Yelp
We love their cookies for a little splurge. Definitely not cheap but worth it for a treat every now and then. Hidden inside a gas station a true treasure. Flavors are hit or miss depending on what they've sold already
google avatar

Lynn L.

Yelp
Good cookies and service was good as well. Helped guide you with which cookies to get, without making you feel rushed or annoyed. It's a bit of a drive from the SGV but if I'm on the west side I would def stop by again.
google avatar

Su L.

Yelp
I'd heard about Zooies from a friend as a great cookie place, so my husband and I stopped in on Memorial Day for a treat. Zooies is located in the store of a petrol station, so the location is fairly odd. Despite that, it's very clean and pleasant inside. The staff member working when we came in was very friendly and gave us recommendations on their most popular cookies. We ended up taking four home (the baklava, banana cream pie, cheesecake and ooey). The cookies are pretty good, but I do think some flavors are better than others. I really liked my husband's cheesecake cookie and his classic chocolate chip (I think this was called the ooey). Baklava had good flavors and spices but I found it a bit dry, and banana cream pie wasn't bad, but not amazing. My favorite cookie in LA is still undoubtedly Levain Bakery, but I'll be coming back to Zooies when I want more variety in flavors.
google avatar

Priscilla H.

Yelp
These are hands down the best cookies I've ever had! My favorites are the Banana Cream Pie, Strawberry Shortcake, Gooie, and Panda. I literally drive all the way from OC, braving LA traffic, just to get my hands on them--they're that good! And they're located in a cool swanky gas station !!!!
google avatar

Jenny J.

Yelp
I was craving for cookies and found this spot on yelp. When we got there, we were surprised it was at a gas station. Lol We got 13 cookies and we were excited to try it on our car ride. When I took my first bite, the flavor is there but I was expecting crispy edges. It's soft and airy but not gooey. I'm a baker myself so I'm big on texture and I do not find it here and ended up being disappointed. Since we were the only customers there so it was a fast in and out. Overall, the best one with the most texture is Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie then the Oreo is decent, and the rest is med for my taste. We got 3 gooie, 3 brown butter cc, 3 oreo, 1 cloud 9, 1 strawberry shortcake, 1 butterscotch oatmeal, and 1 banana nut. Pls add me if you like my vibe!
google avatar

Dan P.

Yelp
Great stuff, chocolate chip was the best. I think it could be a little less sweet, but its not like crumble where its too sweet. Id get more cookies here for sure, maybe there is a less sweet option, I dont know

Yelp
Received as a little gift. "These are the best cookies in West LA, aunty". REALLY?? (Skeptical ) Guess what??? SHE'S CORRECT! Ok. I'm not a West LA cookie aficionado. However, I am a fairly good judge of a great cookie. Not sure whether they had snappy names. We shared: 1) A walnut choc chip cookie-a chunky, tender with lots of nice walnut & choc chip pieces. YUMMY 2) A coffee (?) choc chip cookie. Just a hint of coffee/espresso flavor. Tender with choc chips. YUMMY 3) A "standard" type choc chip cookie. Tender, buttery large choc chunks. Another yummy cookie. 4) A cranberry bits cookie. Not TOO many cranberries. Just enough to have a piece with every bite. Yumm.. Well...turns out she knows what she's talking about. Guess we'll have to do a field trip out to West LA for lunch, dinner or any excuse to find this Zooies place. It'll be worth the drive. Truly yummy, buttery, well made cookies that taste home made without that commercial bakery taste.

Yelp
First of all, this cookie shop is inside a gas station! We thought we were at the wrong place at first. Second, this cookie shop is open 24 HOURS on Fridays! So if you have a cookie craving at 3am in the morning, you can always drive here and get your cookie fix one day a week. We arrived around 10:30pm on a Friday night and there was a continuous stream of customers. I was pretty full after dinner so I just got an oatmeal cookie to go. I had it the next morning for breakfast and it was still very good: the right amount of chewiness and sweetness. I loved it. I will return to try their other cookies including their famous chocolate chip cookie. The inside is clean and simple. They bake the cookies fresh right there in the kitchen located inside the gas station minimart. It's worth checking it out.
google avatar

Jerome G.

Yelp
I love that it's inside a gasoline station. Given it's a fancy gasoline station. The sheer amount of flavors is amazing. You would have to get at least half a dozen. I ended up getting a dozen because one has to with all the flavors they have. My favorite was the yellow brick road! I believe it's oatmeal and butterscotch. I love that they have the combo because I love oatmeal cookies but I hate raisins. The panda and lemon bar are great as well. I was really looking forward to the baklava cookie but it was okay. This is a solid cookie joint! Can't wait to try other flavors.

Yelp
I found my new favorite cookie place! Had a craving for the perfect chocolate chip cookie and came across this bakery. At first, I was honestly thrown off since it's at a gas station but when you walk in, you see that the place serves as a gas station stop as well as a bakery. There are multiple options of cookies and brownies. You can even see them bring out the fresh ones in time to replace the old ones. The service was great in which the clerk answered all of my questions on the types of cookies and their differences. I ended choosing the gooey chocolate chip cookie as well as the classic chocolate chip cookie. My friend got the cheesecake cookie as well as the chocolate chip. One thing that would have been great is if there were an option to heat up the cookies as the establishment. Either way, all the cookies were delicious. I will definitely be back! Just a tip, sign up for the rewards program!

Yelp
Our friend introduced us to Zooies this past weekend, and we're officially hooked. We were skeptical at first--it's not every day you hear about a cookie shop inside a gas station. Boy were we wrong! They've got lots of classic and fun cookie flavors, plus brownies. We tried the Chewie (their take on a soft chocolate chip) and the oatmeal raisin walnut--both so good we ate them standing outside the door... then immediately went back in for round two. We do wish they served the cookies warm, but even so, they're absolutely worth it!

Yelp
absolutely insane cookies! i was very skeptical pulling up because i didn't realize it's in a gas station convenience store. definitely a very chill and lowkey vibe. there was a short line, and after tasting the cookies, my mind was kind of blown. my favorites were the brookie (surprising!) and chewy. i also tried peanut butter and panda. everything was delicious and i would highly recommend! it's such a gem!

Yelp
LA's best kept secret. This cookie shop hidden in a gas station is HIGHLY underrated and I'm just anticipating the moment it blows up on Tik Tok. Everything is creative, from the actual cookies to the names of each. They also offer half off for day old cookies & they still hit just the same in my opinion. There's also plenty of options for different food restrictions (gluten free, paleo, vegan, + more). If you're into the soft, doughy kinds of cookies then this is the place.

Yelp
Are the best cookies in LA found in a gas station!? Quite possibly because these things are dayum good. Pulling up in a Tesla to a gas station probably had me looking cray cray but I needed to try these highly touted carb & sugar bombs. I'm happy to report they didn't disappoint from start to finish. The staff was really friendly and helped us pick out some goodies, plus I didn't find their prices to be offensive at all. Every.single.thing. we got was out of this world delicious. The item you MUST get if nothing else? The classic chocolate chip cookie which comes in many forms (gluten free, vegan, diabetic friendly, and even paleo!) but the best of them all? THE GOOIE. Holy perfect softness, with just a tiny dash of salt on the top for balance. It's perfection. And I bake chocolate chip cookies so am really harsh on these little guys usually, but the version from Zooies is bomb. Also amazing is the truffle brownie (ohemgee), brown butter chocolate chip, the lemon bar, brown velvet and the chocolate chip meringue bar. I have a todo list to try though a mile long. The selection at Zooies is bananas! SO.Many.Options! That's another huge plus is that you'll surely find something that suits your fancy.

Yelp
The vegan options are great! I've been looking for a place to get my wife some quality cookies, and these are delicious and affordable. The employees are lovely and it's easy to drop in when you're getting gas (usually good prices). It's not a sit-down place, so don't plan to eat there. Grab a dozen salted caramel to go!

Yelp
A delicious cookie shop in a gas station? Sign me up! I stumbled upon Zooies recently after stopping to get some gas and when I walked in, I was surprised to see it inside. There was quite a selection of different, decadent looking cookies on display and I was surprised they are open so late! The staff were very friendly and helpful when I had any questions about the various cookies and what I should get and I even showed again the following day because the cookies were just that good! The ones that I consider a must try are the butterscotch blondie, and the zoogelach, and the party brownie! Everything I had was delicious though and the prices are quite reasonable! Ambience was chill when I showed up both times with not too many people in line and the inside was clean and well lit! Butterscotch Blondie - 5/5, rich and buttery and filled with butterscotch chips Boston Cream Pie - 4/5, sugar cookie with chocolate and cream filling on top, not as sweet as I thought, but quite good! Zoogelach - 5/5, a unique take on the apricot rugelach and quite delicious Party Brownie - 4/5, quite sweet and there's even Oreos in the middle so it's for sure on the heavier side! Cloud 9 - 4/5, not too sweet and the pecans and chocolate chips work really really together in this one and it is good! They also have vegan and gluten free options for people who can't have dairy or have certain dietary restrictions so there's something for everyone! If you are in the area, be sure to check them out for delicious cookies!

Yelp
Chocolate chip - okay Oatmeal chocolate chip - okay Snickerdoodle - good I was perhaps expecting something much better based on the reviews but they are just okay. Too expensive at $10 for 3 cookies

Yelp
Simply incredible cookies. Many gluten free options. I'll keep this simple, don't play yourselves and get their cookies ASAP!

Yelp
One of my fav cookie spots in LA! Zooies is located inside of a gas station which sounds odd but makes sense when you get there. If you don't want to get gas, no worries- there's plenty of parking spots and some chargepoint chargers available for you to drop in. I had the brown sugar chocolate chip, chocolate and walnut, PBJ and birthday (white chocolate sprinkle). They're each $2.50 and the brown sugar chocolate chip really is one of the best I've had in LA- it's chewy in the center and crispy on the edges. A classic chocolate chip cookie. Service was quick and nice too.

Yelp
A cookie shop located in a gas station in the Palms / West LA area. They get most recognition for their chocolate chip cookies, but really they have a great variety and I never had a cookie from here I didn't like. Of the many times I've been here over the years, the service has always been very friendly. The gas station/ store itself is super clean and I would say it ranges on the nicer side of the gas station quality/ cleanliness spectrum. This place first came on my radar because I noticed this place that was literally down the street from where I lived at the time that popped up on multiple best cookies in LA lists. Since then, I've gotten these for miscellaneous gatherings, work events, or dinner parties. I would say the prices are super reasonable, given what other cookie places I've seen charge. Just an easy crowd pleaser when I'm in a pinch. I've mentioned that this place appeared on many best of lists and have received plenty of (rightfully so) praise, but just recently (10/23), an LA Times editor ranked their chocolate chip cookies as one of their favorites in the city. Can't recommend this place enough.
