Zo's Good Burger Detroit

The cashier was friendly and polite. The food came up fast and hot. We got the fish sandwich, double cheeseburger with turkey bacon and turkey cheesy bacon fries. The food was mid. I had Zo’s in Dearborn years ago and it wasn’t better than that. It’s so many halal burger restaurants you have to come with flavor and originality. Love where the location is at. But I’ve had better from a burger food truck. My fish was dry and definitely reminds you of process food.

VISITED SATURDARY, FEBRUARY 1, 2025 I am about a month behind on this review and I apologize to the proprietors because this place left a positive impression. My husband and I visited to Detroit for literally less than 24 hours. He’s a long-time Piston’s fan, so we caught a game the night before. Cade earned 40 points and it was a bobblehead night. And BONUS, they won! Before heading off to the airport, we wanted to get a good lunch after a long morning at the Henry Ford Museum, which i highly recommend while in Detroit to visit. We looked on GM for great eateries and among a few Zo’s seemed and enticing for both my husband and me. He got mozz sticks and fries and I got the bacon ranch chix wrap. Believe it or not, it was the best wrap I've had! Just the right amount of ingredients to the mayo. I kept mmm...mmm…! I made a point to tell the propriertors! Why not, it boost moral right! Anyway, there wasn’t much of an atmosphere because it was mid-afternoon and no one aside from employees were in the place. However, I did take note at the constant cleaning. I love that! OVERALL: I hope to make it back to Detroit, if not for Zo’s! Thank you for making a great wrap!

Zo's was Delicious!! First time here. We were looking for somewhere to eat close by to the fischer theater and it was only a 4 minute walk. We got a little bit of everything and really enjoyed the Good burger it had a Mozzarella stick and onion ring on the burger with its house sauce. The Mac and cheese bites were fantastic and we both really enjoyed the milk shake. No wait to get in and food came out very quick. Parking was available on the street. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a good tasty burger.

I was looking for a place downtown to answer "nature's call" (a concern for Uber drivers) when I serendipitously saw the sign out front. And I found a spot in the free lot in back. I suspect most clients are walking in or to-go. Nice selection of burgers and chicken with a fish sandwich thrown in. I ordered the Mushroom Onion Swiss burger with Cajun fries. Very nice. Hot, juicy, properly seasoned, quickly delivered. The staff was pleasant and even checked in after dropping off my order. Parking is an issue. It's downtown, so yeah. Street or the little lot behind are your options. Music is too loud for me. And it's country but I'm not buying the place, just eating lunch.

Great little burger spot! Super clean inside and very friendly staff. Not to mention the burgers are delicious! They are cooked to order and come out right off the grill. I will definitely be visiting again soon :)

I visited Zo’s and got the food truck chicken sandwich, spicy, and Cajun fries. I ordered online and it said it would be ready at a specific time. I got there 5 minutes after the time and they said it wasn’t ready. The place was empty except for one person. I got my food and walked back to my room. Now if it was fresh when I got it, when I sat down to eat, it not longer was, not their fault I walked to my room before eating it, but if it wasn’t ready I would have expected it to stay warm a little longer then the short walk back. But the sandwich was not good at all. It was bland— no flavor, and not spicy. I was deeply disappointed and wished I had salt. The fries were really good though. I wish their flavor was in the chicken at least then I wouldn’t be eating something that tasted like the oil needed to be changed and had an ounce of flavor. Whatever sauce they put on it did not salvage it. It’s sad because it could have been a good sandwich if made with flavor. I upgraded to the pretzel bun, cost more and a big mistake. It was a very tough bun, more so than the average pretzel bun. The disappointment left me dissatisfied since the main part of my meal tasted like I was just eating for nourishment since it had absolutely no flavor. So I spent $19 on a very bad meal. I should have gone across the street to McDonald’s.

It's like Every time I go to this location I feel they use smaller portions of food compared to the other locations they serve to their customers. I ordered a meal that comes with fries and a soda but then the burger bun itself and the stuff they had inside was way little than the ones I enjoy at other locations even the fries weren't enough to fulfill.

This place is pretty good! I got the Food Truck Chicken Sandwich and the Cajun fries. They were both really good! Much better- and seemingly higher quality ingredients- for a similar price as many other establishments. For those who don't like coleslaw, keep in mind this was a strong flavor on the chicken sandwich and you might find it plain and want to substitute something else to increase flavor. Now, my only complaint- the aggressively loud house music playing the entire time i was there. Wow! I had my phone on the loudest volume and still couldnt hear my phone call at all; which I had planned to take while on my lunch. Seriously, I almost considered asking them to turn it down, and I'm never the type to ask such things of restaurants. Overall: if you can handle very loud music, I'd definitely recommend Zos Good Burger! Expect to pay ~$10-20 per person, and get a "fast food" style meal of much higher quality!

I'd gone to the Fisher to get a ticket for a play & decided I should have lunch somewhere that's not near my home. I remember reading about Zo's Good Burger here on Yelp, and when I saw that it was nearby, I decided to go there. I was pleased to see that they have parking behind their building -- always a plus! I obviously didn't read the reviews closely enough because I didn't realize it was a "fast-casual" place -- except that it wasn't very fast. I waited at least 15 minutes for my burger and fries, and somehow, it wasn't particularly hot when I finally got it. But....it was delicious! I ordered the Good Burger and fries. And it was big! I had to cut the burger in half to hold it. It was also very filling; I only at half of it, so I took the rest home and finished it for dinner.

I stopped in for lunch today to try this popular spot! The food is hot, fresh, and tasty! They offer great service! We called the order in and it was ready in 15 minutes. It's clean and smells good inside. One thing we did notice is that their fries are very salty. A little less salt would make this an even better spot! There's metered parking on West Grand Boulevard.

Zo's was good. I have no complaints. The staff was friendly and fast with the service. My food was fresh and hot. There is plenty of space to eat. I'd come here again. It across the street form the fisher theater so you can enjoy a quick meal before you attend a show.

I love the burgers! Looks like they are continuously updating/finishing construction, which is cool that I can still get a tasty burger. I wanted to give 5 stars, but I had to drop it down due to order pickup process. They really need to have someone working pickup/delivery orders and someone taking dine in orders . My order sat on the back countertop for 10-15 minutes before they called my name. I shouldn't have to microwave my food.

This evening I was craving a burger and finally went to Zo's! I've been wanted to try this place since I've moved to New Center. The inside was very clean and hip. I ordered a Build Your Own, I got a burger, on a pretzel bun with American cheese, coleslaw, lettuce, tomatoes, and good burger sauce. The cashier helped me pick out the sauce, and he was very right! The sauce and coleslaw are a perfect pair. My friend also ordered a build your own and made it a meal which came with fries and a drink. Good options for a build your own.

okay prices, good quality meats, good service at this location. open late-ish. flexible menu for most diets. this place serves the purpose of fast food but with fast casual food quality. i was satisfied.

These wraps bring me back to MSU, they're the closest I'll get to having another Menna's Dub or Conrad's

Very impressed! I had the sliders, cheese sticks and an Oreo shake. The meat was seasoned extremely well and the sliders were a perfect blend of ingredients. Loved the secret sauce. The batter on the mozzarella sticks was great. The Oreo shake was delicious as well, even down to the whipped cream. Happy to have discovered this place and I'll definitely be a repeat customer

My husband and son-in-law love this place. Like everything they try. Good pricing. I haven't tried as it's their place.

One of my favorite places to order lunch downtown. The Good Burger is on point the pretzel bun is always so fresh and their Good Burger sauce is so delicious. Also love their style of French fries and the sliders. Highly recommend you check them out if you haven't tried this place yet.

Story time: There is a decent little "fried wings twirled in sauce " place in the New Center Area of Detroit I had a little crush on or whatever. I tried to slide through on shawty and it was closed. The place next door was a burger joint. I stared at it with doubt: I figured a burger is just a burger, is just burger...but I was hungry really and I did not want to joy ride Detroit for wings; I entered the restaurant. The place was vibrant with red neon lights, kind of retro with the logo on the wall and brick. I grabbed a menu , read it from from bottom to top. Build a burger, cool. Lebanese burger: they eat that on burger? The Good Burger: Yoooo sign me up! That was my first of many biweekly trips to this god-tier local treasure... The Good Burger is the epitome of indulgence. At base level, you have a smash burger, American cheese, cheese sticks, an onion ring, and their proprietary Good Sauce all in between a pretzel bun. I like the idea of having all of the sides incorporated into the burger. The other House Sandwiches (curated burger combinations) are interesting in their own way as well, you have a Onions, Mushrooms, and Swiss burger. The BBQ burger which replaces the cheese sticks with an additional onion ring and the Good Sauce with BBQ sauce. The Southwest that incorporates Pepperjack cheese and jalapeño peppers. Finally, you have the Lebanese burger that contains coleslaw and French fries in between the bun.

We ordered door dash for lunch at work. Well the orders were a little messed up. I have come to expect with Door Dash or yeah and for the food to be lukewarm to cold. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and onions rings. I didn't get a picture of my grilled chicken but it was good . They did have two pieces of bacon ( thick cut) well it was one slice cut in half. The chicken was chicken tenders and not a filet however had a good grilled taste to it. I had lettuce, pickles, onions, Mayo and bacon on my sandwich. The onion rings were ok they just needed salt which o applied to them. I would have ordered a burger but I'm all beefed out now, maybe next time. I'll definitely have to give the another try.

I love a good burger, and this place has been on my short list of places to try. But, between the pandemic, and it being a bit of a drive for me, I haven't really had the chance to stop in any sooner. But, after walking the DIA, the date and I were starving so I suggested we came here. Walking in, the place was clean and had limited street parking. We got a spot right out front, and stared at the menu deciding what to get. The lady at the register was extremely friendly and helpful, which really made all the difference. I ended up getting the three sliders with onion rings and a drink. The date went with a chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato. I will say, the burgers here were absolutely fabulous. I don't know what it is, but I literally inhaled them when they were brought out. Date inhaled his chicken sandwich and we both really enjoyed the food. The only downside? The lids to the cups for pop were essentially worthless. They were the correct size, but continuously popped off when you picked up your drink. Time for different lids please! Plus, the whole ride home I was drinking the lid never stayed on either of our drinks. ANNOYING!!! Overall a great place to grab a bite to eat and enjoy yourself. Nothing super fancy, but the staff here is really efficient and good. Plus, the food's awesome. Will return when in the area!

Best grilled chicken sandwich I've had in a long time! It was tender and well seasoned. The brioche bun was perfect.

Delicious! We stopped in looking for some burgers after leaving Belle Isle. The burgers were cooked perfectly. Great flavoring--my only complaint is that they put fresh jalapeños on the burger instead of the fried jalapeños I ordered. The fries were also great--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I recommend the Cajun blend. We'll definitely be back!

I made a build-your-own burger and it was perfect! The hamburgers are delicious! A group of 3 of us went and the other 2 guests ordered the sliders and said they were also delicious. I will be back!

Had the mushroom onion Swiss burger w Cajun fries. Very good tasty burger lots of mushrooms and onions seasoned fine. Pass on the Cajun fries, just no pizzazz but not bad . Will be back aho in friendly clean place

We've been going to the Dearborn location for years and service is always great. We live in Windsor,Ontario so don't get to get over there often and we were happy to see a Detroit location opened up. We decided to go last weekend .It wasn't busy at all and the kid took our order. Went to the restroom. First one had no toilet paper and no hand soap or paper towels. Went to the next washroom- out of service but at least it had soap and paper towels. Didn't get a chance to inform anyone as it started to get busy. Food came and only half our order was brought over we thought ok fine they'll bring the rest. About 15 min later the employee brought over what he said was the rest of it and half our party already finished their food. When we asked about the missing sandwich he first said that it was it but scrambled to prepare our forgotten sandwich. Made for a really disappointing experience. Another table has their food brought out to them and one of their items was also forgotten. Probably won't return to this location. Messaged their Instagram and sent them an email to give them a heads up that this happened and no response, maybe they're not concerned.

This place is a great choice for dine in or take out. Nice atmosphere, good customer service and the food is excellent can't wait to go back and try something different.

Me and My husband had take out from here and I loved it! I had the good burger and cajun fries. They gave me lots of fries and my burger was a great Size and very tasty with all the fixings. My husband had the jalo poppers which were not hot at all but i loved the cheese filling. I would go here again and would love to get something different but i might just go with my new regular

Horrible! Ordered through Doordash Food came quickly but that's where the happiness ended. There were absolutely no tamper-proof measures taken. I ordered sliders at a medium well temp, they were so overcooked that they were almost crispy; and dry, very dry, although I added coleslaw. The burgers come with bacon, which ended up being one teeny piece on each burger. The bun made things worse, as the burger to bun ratio was way off. I couldn't continue eating. Onion rings, meh... Might have been ok if I had ketchup to eat them with. No condiments, plastic utensils or napkins were provided. Complete waste of my hard-earned coin. Bye $20!

Definitely a place you should check out. This is near the hospital I work at. We ordered online and walked to the place when we went on break. The place was packed with people. When I first walked in there were 2 workers behind the counter. There was a long line of customer waiting to either have their order taken or pick up there food. At the counter there was a sign that said that orders and service might be slow. I was ok with that. The part that bugged me was that there was no communication and you were standing there with no clue where to go. Finally someone came to the front and got the line going. For being lunch time you would think they would have more than 2 people working After awhile 2 other workers popped out of the back and started to help. We got there around 12:15pm and did not get our food till about 12:45pm. However, after eating my burger and Cajun fries I was definitely impressed on the taste. I would definitely go back to this place and recommend it. But I am not sorry for taking a star away. I know that this is hard times for most places as it is hard to find workers. But communication is the key. Just communicate with your customers.

Cool lil burger joint close to jobsite... Food was really good here got the mushroom swiss and onion burger and fries were delicious, plus was that they had my fanta Orange vanilla zero sugar pop to ...my only complaint was how long it took to get food with only a half hour break for lunch... Will definitely recommend to others , will surely be back

Ugh I love Zo's so much. I wish they offered delivery to my house - I'm only taking a star off because for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get food from them during covid without ordering delivery, since I'm high risk. (is there curbside? Help, fellow Yelpers.) Their fries are the best - so well seasoned and crispy. I'm not usually a seasoned fry person but you seriously can't pass these up, they're incredible. And you can get the squeeze cheese on them, which is essential. I usually get the crispy chicken wrap or the bacon ranch chicken wrap. If you're from MI and used to hanis, that's what these are, but they're so much better than your standard coney hani. Great ratio of breading to chicken, not soggy at all, and huge portions. Also, if you like getting tattooed or doing art, the proximity to the art store inside CCS and Grand Blvd Tattoo is really a bonus. Pre-Covid, I often stopped here for dinner after running errands. It's super fast and convenient and I love everything on their menu. Not usually a burger place person but seriously, this chain rules.

Classic halal staple within the burger joint in Michigan. It doesn't get any better than this at Zo's good burger. I've been here more than a few times and confirm it's very similar to the one in Dearborn. This location is much cleaner and has less people crowding around the place which is a def plus. Most burgers and subs on the menu are pretty solid, but my suggestion would have to the BBQ burger!! It's the only way to go seriously, try it out. It's clean, juicy and such a well rounded burger that will leave you so satisfied with your dinner. No expectations when I walked in. Never heard of this restaurant before, surprisingly the place was well kept and staff were nice. Bathrooms were clean and no worries about there being trash. I ordered the good burger, it had an onion ring, a delicious sauce and mozzarella stick cheese. The patty was thick and juicy for both burgers. The second burger was the bbq burger, it had bbq sauce, turkey bacon, and mayo. The flavor combinations for each burger were perfect for each. The mozzarella cheese provided a contrast with the sweet sauce. The bbq sauce on the second burger was too sweet to over power the taste of the patty or the other ingredients. Definitely recommend both!

Oh man, soooo delicious! I had the BBQ burger and my friend the good burger. Both were sooo good. It came with lots of fries. For two people one combo meal and one stand alone burger would have been enough. That said, they got my order wrong in small details -- usually this would make my review go down to like three stars, but honestly the food was so good and they gave us a partial refund for the missing/ wrong food. So all in all, very happy - will order again!

Just an okay burger joint. I had heard from a few people how awesome this place was but left today feeling a tad disappointed. Food quality was just okay and the place was too busy for only 3 people behind the counter which took longer to process orders. My wife enjoyed her burger but I felt that my bun was not fresh which reduced my overall satisfaction with the burger itself. Perhaps another time or another Zo location....

This was was great! Staying here for the night and found this place on Yelp. Big, filling portions. Made to order but still done quickly. I tried the Good Burger and it was delicious. Cajun fries were good too. Glad I stopped in here!

Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich it was horrible and sloppy wet very nasty then I was over charged payed 14 dollars for the combo with onion rings it should have only cost about 12 dollars at least that what it says online and then when I asked why was it so much more than the price online they tried to argue with me in front of all the customer... If you go here order online for pickup cause in the store they will over charge you I'm so upset about my lunch that cost me a dinner price lol!!!!!!

This was my first visit to Zo's Good Burger and we were not disappointed. My friend got their signature Good Burger, which comes with mozzarella sticks and onion rings on top. She LOVED it. I ordered a mushroom swiss burger without ketchup, and added their Secret Sauce (which has relish in it- yum!). It was messy, juicy, but delicious! We also both got a side of Cajun fries- just spicy enough but not overly seasoned. New Center has a new gem in Zo's!

Good burger is a great, tried and true spot to get a "good burger ", sandwich, or wrap. I love how they have alternatives to beef like grilled or crispy chicken or a delicious Chipotle black bean burger (which I've had a few times). The Cajun fries are yum with the right amount of spice and seasoning. I love the brioche bun for all of my burgers. It's so soft and buttery. The pretzel bun is good too and can handle the massive toppings that some of the burgers offer. I've only gone to the Dearborn location until now. Apparently, there is a 3rd location? My only knock is that I called in my order for takeout to avoid the wait, but due to the line out the door and no separate take out area, I had to wait an additional 15 minutes past my promised time of 20 minutes. So if you have a short lunch, make sure to call ahead early and prepare to wait. Although it may be that it's still new, it seems as if they could have used one more worker until they figure out things like the lunch rush, take out orders, and seated patrons. Otherwise, very good. Glad there is another location in the city. I anticipate I will be back .

Just this Sunday we ordered on line, burgers for three and a bean burger. Fries drink and shake. Wow it was amazing. We did however have to circle around to get a parking spot. The order was not done, so a wait was inevitable, not a problem. It was do too employees calling off work leaving the staff short handed I have been here before and I can say don't hesitate to get great burger. Get up go now!!!

Stopped in on a Friday evening before seeing a show at the Fisher. Great decor and space. You order at the counter and they give you a number and then bring the food out to you. They have some specialty burgers or you can build your own, as well as sides and none burger items like chicken tenders and nuggets. They only have 4 shakes, chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and Oreo. I order a burger my way, onion rings and a bottled water, my kid ordered nuggets and an Oreo Shake. It came to $17 and some change. We sat down with our number and this is where the stars drop. They brought the food out one item at a time. First the milkshake - which was really good except they have these huge straws. Widest straw where which is great for the chunks but it does impede on sucking over all. Then came the onion rings. To quote my daughter "the breading was cooked a little too much and the onions weren't cooked enough". They were heavy on the grease flavor. Next came the nuggets which were typical fast food fare. They came with 2 dipping sauces despite my daughter letting them know she didn't want any. Just wasteful on their part, ya know? Then my burger showed up. Now it wasn't but a couple minutes between each arrival, it's more about the constant interruptions and having to wait. The servers were a little awkward as well. The burger was really good. Well seasoned. Held together great. Sesame seed bun, which is always a favorite of mine. It is a great place for kids and the food is a good value. Service needs a little work but otherwise it's a great place to grab a quick bite.

Placed and online order and when I arrived they were closed. Contacted them by phone, email, and Instagram and never got a reply back regarding my refund.

I placed an order online at the New Center location and was told to pick up the order in 30 min and I was there on time. I got my food home in which I only live 2 mins away and our burgers were cold. I called and was told to bring the food back for a remake. The guy refused to remake the order because we took one bite out of the our burgers and decided we shouldn't have to eat cold food. Well he continued to argue with me over it. I then asked for my money back and refused to give me a refund. I told him that I'm just going to dispute it with my credit card company and walked out. And another big factor they are not wearing masks and I also observed them touching food with their bare hands. Needless to say I won't be back due to their poor customer service!

Omg greatness in your mouth lol...came in here after going to Hitsville (like 3 mins away). My daughter chose it and it did not disappoint. Great food really fresh, clean restaurant with friendly staff. Would recommend

Great burger, and the Cajun spice on fries isn't something I'd normally order but YUM!

Legitimately delicious. Went after a failed McDonald's mission, and was wowed by the service and the quality of the food. After food was brought to the table we noticed one of the burgers had cheese-before we could bring it up to staff, they noticed and corrected the issue on the spot. Thank you guys! Everyone was very friendly, which made the already fresh food taste even better. The fries were well seasoned and crunchy. Highly recommended!!!

I was pretty impressed. The mac & cheese bites are really tasty. I've had their chicken sandwiches as well, which are very good. A good place to go and one of my new favorites. They cook everything fresh, which is great, but it does take a little bit longer than a fast food place, but worth the wait.

I really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant. It was clean in the lobby area and in the kitchen. The Customer Service was A1. My burger was delicious . I ordered a Build Your Own Burger... 1/4lb Burger w/American Cheese Pickles Lettuce Tomato Mayo Ketchup Mustard 2 small Fried Onion Rings It didn't take long either. Very spacious. Stop by sometime.

The workers are super nice. The food was even better. They have parking in the back. The fries are fresh and onion rings perfect.
