Yelp
As a recent transplant to Smyrna from ITP, we have been looking for places to call our regular spots...Zucca has definitely made that list!!
Located in Smyrna Village, on the Atlanta Road side across from Moe's/Atkins Park is Zucca Bar & Pizzeria! When you walk in, you see a dining area with booths/tables in front of you, a bar to the right and a covered/uncovered patio to the left of you. What this means, if you have plenty of options with seating! In addition to the seating choices, you have plenty of TV options as Zucca has SO MANY TV's...even the booths in the main dining area have personal TV's in your booth! So, this means that if you want a particular game, they got you!
In addition to seating options, Zucca serves up some pretty legit food! While the pin themselves as a pizza joint, they have a lot of things to offer! In addition to their pizza, which I have of course enjoyed, I have enjoyed sandwiches, wings, and a few random apps. To start, the latest pizza I enjoyed was their "Spicy Hawaiian", which is a basic Hawaiian pie with ham and pineapple, but kicked up with sliced jalapenos. Before we gorged on this pie, we had the cheese sticks. They were relatively basic cheese sticks - crispy, perfectly fried with gooey, yet firm cheese inside! I do have to say that the house made marinara was slightly bland, thin and watery in nature. Overall, they were decent and I would order again.
On other visits, we have sampled their chicken sandwich. You better be hungry when you order this, as this sandwich features TWO pieces of chicken prepared to your liking (we had fried, clearly!). The sandwich is sided with your choice of side, we went basic and got their fries. However, prior to the sandwich we dined on the risotto balls. These were quite delicious, as they featured warm and gooey risotto and cheese balled up together and fried! The only thing was the house made marinara that took away a tad, but not enough to care. Additionally, I have sampled their wings on multiple occasions. Their wings are easily some of the crispiest I have ever had! I have had the lemon pepper and garlic parmesan. I have to say, between the two, the lemon pepper win out!
Also, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that Zucca has great specials daily! Currently, they have $4.00 house cocktails. They speak my language every Saturday with this! If this doesn't do much for you, they have food specials including 1/2 priced pizzas and great priced burgers!
Overall, Zucca has done really well by us and we are really happy to have found the place. From the location to the service, and of course the food, Zucca is a great spot - we will definitely be back!
