Zzamong in Koreatown is your go-to for hearty Korean-Chinese classics like jjajangmyeon and sweet and sour pork, all served with a smile and great value.
"Zzamong is a Korean-Chinese restaurant in Koreatown that’s great for a quick, affordable lunch. The star here is the jjajangmyun, a comforting noodle dish topped with thick, savory-sweet black bean paste with diced pork and vegetables, plus pickled radish and raw onion on the side. A single order is a lot of food for $10 (you’ll have enough leftovers for a second meal), and the combo set with jjajangmyun is a bargain as well. Zzamong’s cheeky spice levels range from “I’m a whimp” to “See you on the other side,” but oddly, even the mid-range “Burning!” is tolerable. If you’re with a group, fill out your table with other Korean-Chinese staples like their crispy sweet and sour pork and pleasantly salty mongolian beef." - Brant Cox
