"Centered on an actual Boeing 737-800 front section, this 1,200-square-foot top-floor suite recreates the ambience of a commercial cabin while functioning as a spacious hotel residence. Guests are greeted by an in-flight-style ding-dong intercom, can relax in five rows of three-three seating with working seat belts, tray tables, and overhead bins, and will find two empty food-and-beverage trolleys and a locked lavatory in the front galley. The cockpit—previously used as a pilot flight simulator—allows visitors to sit at the yoke and play with buttons and levers (the controls are not operational). A three-foot portion of the nose extends outside a large window to suggest being in flight, and a movie screen is planned to emulate classic pull-down in-flight entertainment. The aircraft bisects the suite, separating the bedroom from the living area; a recent renovation replaced a conference table with couches, added a full kitchen, and enables extra cots in the living room. The space also includes multiple toilets plus a separate bedroom bathroom with shower and tub. Installed in 2015 by lifting the plane into a built structure amid tricky permitting that limited how much of the cockpit could protrude, the suite is available to book with Marriott Bonvoy points since a 2022 franchise agreement and has rates starting around €294 for members (€299 for non-members)." - Blane Bachelor
