"This nearly 100-year-old, centrally located Yosemite Valley hotel is undergoing a $31.6 million restoration funded through the Great American Outdoors Act, with the legendary dining room (noted for its soaring 34-foot ceilings, dramatic chandeliers, wooden beams and tall windows) already reopened. Infrastructure updates including heating and air conditioning and a renovated pool area are scheduled to finish by the end of 2024; the hotel remains open during the overhaul but warns of potential daytime construction noise.
