Picnic-worthy Capitol Square is also home to the neoclassical Governor’s Mansion, a bell tower, and statues of notable Virginians. It’s ringed by the Victorian Gothic Old City Hall, the handsome Italianate Custom House, and St. Paul’s Church, where Jefferson Davis and Robert E. Lee worshipped during the Civil War."
