Carters Rest

"A charming bed-and-breakfast, Carter’s Rest is located on the most westerly coast of the Isle of Skye, with breathtaking views out to sea. From here, it’s possible to see everything from seals basking on rocks in the Little Minch to dolphins, sharks, and even minke whales. The three guest rooms are stylishly decorated with neutral tones and locally woven blankets (plus blackout shades for the summer months when the nights are short), while a self-catering apartment features a fully equipped kitchen and lounge area. In the dining area, guests can cozy up by the wood-burning stove while gazing out at some of the highest cliffs on Skye. An extensive breakfast is served here each morning, with everything from freshly squeezed juices and hot chocolate with marshmallows to creamy porridge, warm croissants, and entrées like organic smoked salmon with scrambled eggs."
