"Housed in a Haussmannian building on Boulevard Malesherbes with a century-long hotel history that once hosted F. Scott Fitzgerald, this art-deco–tinged property reopened in March 2024 after a three-year renovation by restaurateur-turned-hotelier Matthieu Dumas. Interiors blend brass, velour and geometric tiles with vintage finds, and Nepita—an on-site Mediterranean restaurant by chef Amandine Chaignot—is a lively draw (favorites cited include langoustine taglioni and salade Niçoise). Guest rooms (39 total) feature tropical-leaf wallpaper, built-in mini-bars for mix-your-own cocktails and standout details in certain rooms such as a green-marble bathtub; a small lobby boutique sells custom Panafrica sneakers and scented candles, and a handful of seventh-floor rooms offer Eiffel Tower views." - Mary Winston Nicklin
