25 Best Restaurants in Montreal | Condé Nast Traveler

"Opened in Little Italy in 2018, Vin Mon Lapin is the lovechild of husband-wife duo Marc-Olivier Frappier and Vanya Filipovic, who serve as the chef and sommelier, respectively. Calling this place a "wine bar" doesn't really do the menu justice. It's a tight offering of French-inflected, share-sized plates (some as funky as the wines themselves) but there are some absolute gems in here. Fried oysters pair beautifully with the effervescent natural wines, as does the calamari cacciatore. The sea-urchin omelette is unexpected and satisfying, as is the rabbit sausage. Overall, there are some surprises on the menu—but as with the wines, let the chef take the wheel and you're in very capable hands." - Todd Plummer, Isa Tousignant
