"Okay, you’ve just walked in. First impressions? The café component of iconic bookshop Shakespeare and Company is a compact, modern contrast to the store's wonderfully worn aesthetic. Who else was there? The café gets traffic from bookstore clients and tourists trickling across the street from Notre Dame. The raison d’être : the coffee. How was it? Lomi, a Parisian roaster and café, manages the java and the baristas. Was there food, too, and if so, worth getting? The vegan and vegetarian offering (bagels, quiches, tarts, salads, soups, and pastries) is run by Bob’s Bake Shop, another Parisian mainstay in healthy and satisfying quick eats. How about the staff: what did you think? The staff is friendly but focused on serving customers quickly, so this isn't the place to make any special requests. Who should go here? This is a wonderful spot if you're visiting nearby sights, perusing the bookstore, or attending one of its author events." - Lindsey Tramuta
