"A venerable Portland establishment, the Horse Brass Pub is about as authentic of an English pub experience as you can get stateside. The cluttered wooden space is strewn with dart boards, beer and soccer memorabilia, and portraits of the bar's late, great founder, a guy who helped usher in Oregon's craft beer scene by pouring selections from some of the city's first breweries here. Speaking of which: The Brass is all about the beer, mostly English and Scottish style ales served in true Imperial pints: 20-ounce pours with frothy heads.
