What are your first impressions?The Jinx, one of Savannah's few live music venues, sits in an unassuming Gothic-looking building across from a square in the historic district. Inside, a large, long bar runs down the entire right side of the building; a stage sits at the back of the room. Who's in the crowdMusic-loving locals waiting to hear their favorite local band and random tourists walking by. Most patrons are more concerned with the music then the drinks, but the length of the bar allows for quick refills. What do they have to drink?Traditional well drinks in plastic cups or bottled beer. Don't ask for an unusual drink unless you want to met with an unhappy face. Did the staff do you right?Staff is busy, especially when there's a live act. Bartenders move acrobatically to get as many orders in and out as possible. They're attentive but slammed, so don't expect to linger. Wrap it up: what are we coming here for?Although touted as a dive, The Jinx commands a presence in the local music scene, hosting bands every Saturday afternoon."
