"After closing on March 16 when Washington's stay-at-home order began, this venerable Eastlake Italian spot pivoted to takeout and delivery — the first time Serafina has offered delivery in its nearly 30-year history. Known for multi-course pasta meals, attentive service, a special-occasion atmosphere and a courtyard for warm-weather dining, the restaurant had previously offered only limited takeout. The current online menu mixes items from both sibling restaurants (including Serafina's lamb and pork lasagna), plus take-and-bake options (prime rib, pork, chicken and vegetable skewers), wine, beer and pantry items; cocktail kits are expected by the end of the week. Owner Christian Chandler says the two restaurants received 15–20 calls a day asking for takeout, which prompted the shift, though it remains unclear when dining rooms will be able to reopen." - Gabe Guarente
