"A new taco truck launching on Thursday, January 30, serving smoked-meat tacos (brisket, barbacoa, pulled pork carnitas), a vegan option, and house-made hot sauce. Everything will be smoked at the MLK location and overseen by its team, though an update clarifies the truck won’t have its own separate pitmaster and the smoked meats will be prepared at the host site. Hours are set for 4:00–9:30 p.m., Thursday through Sunday. The truck was created to put kitchen equipment to productive use and help offset slower weekday business at the owner’s Smithville restaurant, and it will occupy the former sandwich trailer that closed in 2016." - Nadia Chaudhury
