El Tacorrido Opens New Taco Drive-Thru in Brentwood - Eater Austin
"Austin’s taco drive-thru mini-chain El Tacorrido opened its latest restaurant in Brentwood as of today, May 11. It’s found on 5303 Burnet Road. For now, it’s operating under limited hours, which means it will close at 3:30 p.m. today. Its Facebook page will be updated with current hours. The fast-casual array at El Tacorrido includes breakfast and lunch/dinner tacos with the usual array of meats like al pastor, barbacoa, fish, and vegetarian options. Then there are offal offerings too, including the porky-mixed revuelta (pork skin, pork stomach, and pork shoulder). along with salads, tortas, quesadillas, and gorditas. Meats are also available by the pound for DIY tacos at home (it comes with tortillas and accompaniments). Tacorrido is especially known for its hangover-curing menudo, only available on the weekends. Plus there’s coffee (the refreshing iced horchata with espresso) and ice cream sandwiches.
