"This lovely cafe and bookshop sits within one of Hamtramck’s hundreds of two flats, now converted into a welcoming spot for La Colombe espresso drinks, Adeni chai, iced beverages on tap, baked goods, sandwiches, and soups sourced from Zingerman’s, as well as a selection of books. During Ramadan, the spot has been known to stay open late to accommodate the many Hamtramckans who are fasting. As of February 16, 2024, owners Ahmed Alwhysee and Asma Almulaiki are opening a second location at 422 W.
