Freed’s Bakery plans to open in Summerlin in October | Eater Vegas

"An established Las Vegas patisserie operating since 1959, this longtime cake and pastry shop is expanding with a new 1,400-square-foot Summerlin dessert storefront at The Shoppes at Canyon Pointe. Slated to open by the end of October so it can serve its annual Halloween-themed treats, the outlet—run by a self-described crew of “cake astronauts, sugar tamers, [and] pastry welders”—will accept custom cake orders at the location while having those cakes produced at the company’s 8,500-square-foot flagship bakery on Eastern Avenue. The Summerlin shop joins an existing Centennial expansion and a smaller counter at the T-Mobile Arena, and plans to operate daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Sundays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.)." - Bradley Martin
