"A Lake City Way landmark pouring its last drink, Seattle’s last roadhouse—essentially a house—has been owned since 1961 by 94-year-old owner and bartender John Spaccarotelli, generally believed to be the city’s oldest barkeep. Over the years it has hosted punk, surf, country, and rockabilly acts as well as Western and swing, with a small but popular dance floor; its hours have been limited for a while and lately it’s been just open on Friday nights. After the final show on December 19 there may be a final “beer blast” in January, and since Spaccarotelli owns the property, he may rent it out for events in the future." - Harry Cheadle
