"It’s hard to believe that Firn (at the tippy-top of the new Populus Hotel) is Pioneer Square’s only rooftop bar. With the tops of historic buildings rising just above treeline all around you, the atmosphere is truly serene. But Firn isn’t relying on location alone for clout — the bar menu fascinatingly revolves around ice. Yes, ice. There’s “clear” ice cocktails with giant cubes (or a sphere or diamond, depending on your drink choice) of the stuff. There are shaken “ice cold” cocktails served up. There’s a shaved ice cocktail and some with crushed ice, plus a couple of straight-up slushies.
