"Patty Thowanga, who owns several popular Thai restaurants in San Diego, calls Kiin Extraordinary Thai “the jewel in the crown” of her culinary empire. Housed in the stunning Sky Deck Restaurant Collective in Del Mar Highlands Town Center, Kiin Extraordinary Thai offers curries, noodles, and rice dishes with the option to add in one of their proteins, like bone-in roasted duck or one of the vegan-friendly options. Starters include fresh spring rolls and sweet and tangy tamarind glazed chicken bites, Tom Yum soup, and papaya salad. But where Kiin really stands out is in the chef’s signature dishes; beef panang curry made with lemongrass, rich coconut milk, and braised beef served on top a bed of steamed green beans and carrots, and steamed sole and garlic lime sauce mixed with steamed bok choy, cabbage, and carrot.
