"In that weird little neighborhood between Phinney Ridge and Ballard, this barebones restaurant — which last year got a ton of attention for making basically one dish, Hainanese chicken rice, and knocking it out of the park — has pivoted to the Thai noodle soup Khao Soi, and whaddya know, it’s another home run. The creamy broth is “aromatic from cumin” and just the thing for “white-knuckle winter days.” A lime garnish adds a hint of acidity, and you can pick from several meat options; the lamb was “tender but not too fall-y-apart-y.” When people talk about “comfort food,” this is it." - Harry Cheadle
