"Inside Lamplighter Brewing, I watched Pepita Coffee take over the brewery’s coffee corner on June 10, picking up where Longfellows left off with much of the former staff staying on and the operation now overseen by Lamplighter founders Cayla Marvil and AC Jones. The menu pairs a creative coffee program with food: four generously sized breakfast tacos, an avocado tostada, and pastries and snacks such as banana rum coffee cake, jalapeño cornbread, and a Vietnamese coffee popsicle. Beverage highlights lean inventive — a coquito slushie made with espresso, cinnamon, and coconut, spicy chocolate mochas, sparkling limeade — and there’s even crossover with the beer bar: Micheladas made with lime, juice, spice, and Lamplighter beer are available daily from 11 a.m. The cafe hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday–Friday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends." - Dana Hatic
