Westchester Restaurant La Crémaillère Owner Arrested for Fraud - Eater NY

"Officials arrested the proprietor of upscale French restaurant La Crémaillère Restaurant on Tuesday, accusing Barbara Meyzen of identity theft and mail and wire fraud. Meyzen’s owned it since 1993, and she allegedly charged $80,000 of supplies to a regular’s American Express and submitted false bank statements to apply for business loans. The country-style restaurant with a pink dining room has been open since 1949 and is known for its rich and famous clientele, with diners including Mick Jagger, Billy Joel, Glenn Close, Tommy Hilfiger, and Governor Andrew Cuomo.
