Chez Nous Owners Want to Transport You to Spain - Eater Carolinas
"The creative minds behind wine bar Bin 152 and dreamy restaurant Chez Nous will open their third Charleston establishment Malagón on March 5. Malagón is an ode to Spain — the wines are Spanish, the menu is Spanish, the retail is Spanish — the only thing the owners couldn’t source was Spanish water (if they had the storage room, they would have made it happen). Owners Fanny and Patrick Panella are excited to transport Charlestonians to Spain for a few moments with the opening of Malagón. The Panellas wanted to open a taperia to allow chef Juan Cassalett to have a space to explore Spanish cuisine. The menu ranges from pollo adobado to grilled half lobster to ham croquettes. The restaurant is in the former Artisan Meat Share space, so it’s a tight squeeze with a few tables and a long bar — it’s definitely cozy.
