"Remaining true to Nasty’s spirit, the new bar Back Lot, which debuted at the end of 2017 after Workhorse Bar’s takeover of the north campus dive Nasty’s, is a neighborhood-friendly spot with a slightly updated feel. Drinks include beers on draft, in cans, and bottles featuring local breweries like Austin Beerworks, Thirsty Planet Brewing Company, and Blue Owl Brewery, as well as cocktails and wine. The pool table and dart boards remain, renovations revealed additional windows that brighten the space, and decorative license plates now line the walls. Its hours are 3 p.m. to midnight Monday through Wednesday and until 3 a.m. Thursday through Saturday, with potential expansion depending on business." - Nadia Chaudhury
