"A Gaylord, Michigan barbecue restaurant drew condemnation for openly encouraging patrons to “#riskitforbrisket” by reopening its dining room on Wednesday, November 25 after gauging customer support on social media. The move ran afoul of a mid-November Michigan Department of Health and Human Services order that paused indoor dining (effective November 18), and the establishment had its liquor license and permits suspended on December 2; the licensee is scheduled for a virtual administrative hearing on December 11. The suspension makes this outlet the tenth in the state penalized for violating COVID-19 indoor-dining restrictions and exposes it to fines and possible disqualification from state COVID-19 relief programs." - Brenna Houck
