"Let’s Makan, opened by owner-chef Michelle Lam in January 2018, is a small Malaysian restaurant in the heart of Chinatown. The venue features a tiny kitchen and dining room with ten or so seats, with table tops embedded with shiny pennies. It specializes in made-to-order apam balik, folded and stuffed pancakes common throughout Southeast Asia, with various fillings and flavors. The restaurant also offers soups and over-rice dishes, with the signature dish being pan mee, a chicken broth with handmade noodles. Other offerings include chicken curry and kuih talam, a jellylike tray cake." - Robert Sietsema
