"Set in the garden of an 1880s Gothic‑Victorian mansion at Second and Alexandrine, this outdoors-only German wine and beer garden offers roughly 50 wines from Germany, Austria and other regions plus more than a dozen German beers, all ordered through a service window. Evolving from pandemic-era front-porch pop-ups, it has expanded hours, plans to operate year-round, and currently runs a brief snack menu with rotating food trucks while the owner renovates the interior to add a small prep kitchen and a retail bottle shop; the full-season patio remains open throughout construction. Beverage director Jarred Gild focuses on underrepresented regions and drier German styles to keep selections affordable and educational, presenting unfamiliar labels in a casual, learning-focused setting. Inspired by the owner’s trip to Germany and a wish to reclaim his heritage, the concept aims to be an approachable, walkable addition to Midtown’s dining scene; current hours are 5 p.m.–11 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday." - Courtney Burk
