"Opened on Alberta next to Townshend Tea Company on September 5, this Gumba-owned cart serves an eclectic breakfast menu that leans sweet, with items like a coffee caramel dutch baby, baked coconut cream french toast, and chai-spiced farro porridge with miso syrup berries; on the savory side the tomago kake, a white rice and egg dish, arrives topped with toasted chiles, curry leaves, and furikake. Straying from noodle territory, it also offers spice-laden fall flavors and funky salads—at lunch they toss everything from a simple caprese with house burrata to a briny radicchio, olive, pepperoncini, and salami salad, while the most eye-catching is a fried sticky rice salad with fried shallots, fish sauce, and candied peanuts—and for something heartier there's a tall fried chicken sandwich with zucchini pickles and iceberg." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden
