"On the fringes of the Theater District I enter to find an order counter and kitchen on the left and a comfortable little dining room on the right with worn tables, bright artificial flowers, and bottles of hot sauce. They offer all the usual burrito stuffings plus a Signature Burritos section with creations attributed to Jalisco, Cancun, and Puebla, a California burrito that piles chicken, beef, and shrimp in a single wrapper, and a deep-fried chimichanga. Most interesting is the “chili-bomb burrito,” filled with rice, beef, and stewed jalapeños made from a box of fresh peppers just inside the front door and drenched in a thin homemade gravy of tomatoes and chile seeds that renders the flour tortilla pleasantly gooey." - Robert Sietsema
