"Planned as a two-night Fil-Am Christmas pop-up on Broadway for November 28–29 from 5 p.m. until close, Noche Buena — an installation by New York–based 4 Wheel Tricycle (which recently worked with Thunderbolt in Los Angeles) — was to transform Viridian with strings of Christmas lights, Paskong Pinoy songs, and even Jolibee mugs, serving Filipino-inspired drinks and dishes that reference the diasporic experience: cocktails invoking melon ice candy made “by your favorite tita,” a cocktail made with Kopiko instant coffee, and other nostalgic fare (the group has roasted an entire pig at a past event). The owners identify as Pinoy themselves; however, this event was canceled due to COVID-19." - Paolo Bicchieri
