"Savoir, a new upscale Heights eatery, will debut in November from Brian Doke, formerly of Tiny Boxwoods. As Eater previously reported, Doke left his general manager position at Tiny’s No. 5 more than two years ago to pursue personal endeavors, presumably Savoir. Doke’s new eatery at the corner of Yale and 14th Streets will be housed within an old warehouse that dates back to the 1930s, reports CultureMap. Doke told the media outlet that he is updating the original building while preserving as much as possible, including color treating the exposed brick interior and adding patina to the windows. Inside, diners will find a bar area with banquets and a U-shaped bar, which is separated from the main dining room that seats 70, plus another less formal seated area called the Garden Room, which can accommodate about 30 guests. 'Elegant' and 'approachable' is how Doke described the overall vibe. He’s not revealing any menu items or who is helming the kitchen just yet, but Doke described Savoir’s fare as 'modern American with a European focus' and mentioned that guests will be able to snag house-made pastas and seasonally focused dishes. William Meznarich (Victory Wine Group) will curate the restaurant’s lengthy menu of bottles and glasses, plus beer and cocktails will be on offer." - Alaena Hostetter
