"A small Texas burger chain owned by Roland Beainy is planning a new West Houston outpost at 3410 Chimney Rock Road in the next few weeks, according to the Houston Chronicle. The chain already has outposts in Bellville and Flatonia (and Beainy recently opened another location in Flatonia and is planning one in Kemah); its first location in Bellville opened in 2020 and serves grilled burgers, fried chicken tenders, and salads. The concept first gained traction because of its Trump-branded burgers, chicken sandwiches, and Philly cheesesteaks — including burgers stamped with “Trump” on the bun — and the restaurants are highly decorated: photos and merchandise of the president, life-sized cardboard posters, red, white, and blue decor, and a red, illuminated “Trump Burger MAGA” sign on one location's windows. Beainy, an immigrant from Lebanon who moved to the U.S. in 2019, told the Chronicle he has worked in the food industry for 20 years and still owns restaurants in Lebanon and Dubai; he says he opened the business because he "supports and appreciates the current (and former) president," credits the president with uplifting the economy during his tenure, and believes his burgers — "the best he’s ever made, according to him" — will attract Trump supporters and opposers alike. He also told the Chronicle that "Food makes peace with everybody." The chain is not officially affiliated with the president (who was re-elected for a second term in November 2024), and Beainy says police have been helpful during alleged disturbances from people who oppose the restaurant's flagrant branding. The planned Houston location sits near the Gulfton neighborhood, which local government data describes as home to many "recent immigrants from Mexico and Latin America" and was 72 percent Hispanic and 15 percent Black as of 2019; Houston and Harris County lean Democratic (a Fox Houston report noted 52 percent of Harris County voted for presidential candidate and former vice president Kamala Harris in the 2024 election)." - Brittany Britto Garley
