She apprenticed under Francis Mallmann in Patagonia and worked in New York kitchens including Momofuku Ko, Restaurant Daniel, and Gramercy Tavern; she attended Northeastern University and the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, participated in the James Beard Foundation’s chef boot camp for policy and advocacy, and has appeared on Food Network’s Chopped and Netflix’s Pressure Cooker." - Melissa McCart
