"After many delays, a far-south Austin coffeehouse and bakery opened at 5326 Menchaca Road with limited hours (currently 7 a.m.–7 p.m., with plans to expand). It offers the bakery’s freshly made, additive- and artificial-flavor-free goods — notably cookies and cakes — alongside coffee, and will eventually serve beer, wine, and nonalcoholic cocktails. The largest of the brand’s three Austin locations, the spot features outdoor space and a walk-up window for to‑go orders, and includes a music-venue component occupying the former Lounge Side as a tribute to the prior tenant, Strange Brew, which closed in 2017. The concept nods to the owner’s original 1983 Guadalupe Street espresso-and-dessert shop." - Nadia Chaudhury
