"Opening in October at 3214 Burgundy Street in the Bywater (the former Sea Cave arcade), Nagomi is chef Kazuyuki “Kaz” Ishikawa’s first standalone sushi restaurant with partner Eli Ramos and local restaurateur Billy Blatty. Kaz, a Tokyo native who built a following at Shogun’s sushi bar and through popular omakase pop-ups, plans a 12-seat sushi bar that will be technically omakase but approachable in both price and style, with meals starting at $45; there will be two seatings per night and the chefs hope to take direction from diners on whether they want straight sushi or a more fusion-driven experience." - Clair Lorell
