"Opened last May by Michelin-starred alum Peter Rudolph and owner Don Riedthaler as a Pacific Northwestern restaurant in the Camas Hotel, this spot closed after less than a year. Rudolph—who had spent years at Maderain in the Bay Area, a restaurant with a coveted Michelin Star—left his chef’s position and Camas by the fall, and Riedthaler then hired a new chef and shifted the concept in response to locals’ feedback toward more casual, accessible options: “This isn’t a white tablecloth, fine dining situation, where you gawk at your food and take pictures of it,” he said, explaining the desire to be a neighborhood restaurant. The restaurant’s website and Facebook page have disappeared, and a recorded phone message now says the restaurant has closed." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden
