"Built as a safe, crowd-pleasing Italian option — "Coldplay — inoffensive and occasionally pretty solid in the hit department" — this restaurant comes from a parent company that also operates 1212 in Santa Monica and La Boheme in West Hollywood, so it understands how to please a crowd. Wood-fired pizzas are generously topped with mushrooms and sausage, with a very stringy mozzarella keeping it together; skip the bland vongole and get the cannelloni alla Genovese, "three plump tamale-esque rounds stuffed with stewed, shredded beef and béchamel." The tiramisu is "pretty much textbook in the best way possible." Soak in the incredibly charming patio, laced with string lights and filled with live music. — Matthew Kang, lead editor, Eater Southern California/Southwest" - Eater Staff
