The chain specializes in Nashville hot chicken fried in beef tallow and its heat levels draw praise from fans; the Lincoln Park outpost has become popular with DePaul and Lincoln Park High School students who sprint in between classes to grab lunch. Pricing is steeper than some competitors—a comparable three-piece tender with fries runs about $15—and Fontana worries a new national competitor could undercut that business.
