Chinatown Has a New Spot for Stone Hearth Pizza - Eater DC

"Virginia-based Arosto Pizza just fired up a D.C. location, bringing garlic knots, specialty pizzas, and sandwiches to the heart of Chinatown. The family-owned restaurant’s original location opened four years ago in Dunn Loring, Virginia. The D.C. outpost opens with limited hours today at 705 Seventh Street NW. From Tuesday, March 12 through Thursday, March 14, guests can get a first taste from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. A grand opening is scheduled for Friday, March 15. Moving forward, hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday. There are nearly 20 classic and specialty pies to choose from ($9.95-$11.95), including barbecue chicken, spicy shrimp Thai, and a “Capitol Hill” pie with red sauce, shredded mozzarella, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, and pepperoni. The sandwich section is filled out by items like a reuben on rye and an Italian order served on fresh baked pane rustica bread. There are also salads and chicken wings. The modern 59-seat space also serves beer and wine, and an outdoor seating area is scheduled to arrive later this spring." - Tierney Plumb
