"Virginia-based Arosto Pizza just fired up a D.C. location, bringing garlic knots, specialty pizzas, and sandwiches to the heart of Chinatown. The family-owned restaurant’s original location opened four years ago in Dunn Loring, Virginia. The D.C. outpost opens with limited hours today at 705 Seventh Street NW. From Tuesday, March 12 through Thursday, March 14, guests can get a first taste from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. A grand opening is scheduled for Friday, March 15. Moving forward, hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday. There are nearly 20 classic and specialty pies to choose from ($9.95-$11.95), including barbecue chicken, spicy shrimp Thai, and a “Capitol Hill” pie with red sauce, shredded mozzarella, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, and pepperoni. The sandwich section is filled out by items like a reuben on rye and an Italian order served on fresh baked pane rustica bread. There are also salads and chicken wings. The modern 59-seat space also serves beer and wine, and an outdoor seating area is scheduled to arrive later this spring." - Tierney Plumb

Not bad. I got the pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, and roasted red peppers. It was a little greasy but I let it cool for a bit and the box helped soak some of the grease up. It takes about 15-20 min to cook, which is long for this location. I feel like they should sell pizza by the slice so people can stop in for a quick bite on the way to the Metro or a game, etc.

Great customer service! I had the spicy shrimp Thai pizza and a hefeweizen on draft. The pizza was delicious and unique, and they have a good selection of beers, including some local ones! Definitely coming back!

As I was heading up the escalator at the Gallery Place Cinema I noticed Arosto Pizza and went back down. I decided I needed something more substantial than popcorn for a three and a half hour movie. Arosto has sandwiches, pizza, salads, and the nicest people behind the counter. I got the Arosto Club which was really good. Reasonably priced and open at 11:00 for an early lunch.

Love this place! My wife who normally doesn't enjoy pizza enjoyed the Margherita. I enjoyed the $4 Stella bottle special as well. Great thin crust pizza. Compared favorably from a sauce taste profile compared to what I grew up with in NYC.

Yummy pizza. Friendly staff. Parking is a problem at that location though.

Nice, relatively quiet environment (moderately loud music, but almost no one there). Pizza is good, but I wouldn't say it's worth the price (~$13 with taxes and no drink). It has thin crust so it's not filling. I do like how it's not oily at all (as in, not dripping when oil when you pick up a slice). I'd say the price IS worth it when you take your time to sit and enjoy it; there's guest wifi and like I said, it's not a loud place. Service is friendly. Overall, the place is clean, even the bathroom, so good job

Great Variety of Pizza! close and convenient to Capital One Arena. look forward to getting a nice slice after caps games. specialty pizzas are plenty for any pallet and beer prices arent bad considering surrounding area.
