"Look no further than Binh Minh for the best banh mi in town. The key here is the house-baked bread, which combines the soft fluff of white bread with the crisp, lightly flaky shatter of a French baguette. But the rest of the components are well thought-out, too, particularly in the classic #1 combo, which layers ham, head cheese, rich pate, and super-silky egg mayo with a generous portion of herbs and pickled veggies. (It never hurts to request extra mayo, though — and you can even take a container of the house-made stuff home.) This little bakery and deli is also home to some of the best beef stew in town, sided by a plain banh mi for dipping.
