"A new Downtown Houston outpost of the New York City burger chain will open at 702 Main Street in a 3,242-square-foot space that includes an outdoor patio; it will be the fourth Shake Shack in Houston after the Galleria (debuted in 2016), Rice Village (early 2018), and the recently opened Montrose location (December). Founded by Danny Meyer, the restaurant is known for its simple “Shackburgers” and crinkle-cut fries, which can be topped with cheese sauce and bacon. As with other locations, the Downtown Shake Shack will partner with local purveyors like Fluff Bake Bar for slices of pie to mix into frozen concretes, and it’s likely the Texas-only Lockhart link burger will also appear on the menu. No opening date has been set yet, but the location is expected to arrive sometime in the summer." - Amy McCarthy
