"Launched in collaboration with The Intentionalist, Sweet Alchemy is offering a series of pun-driven ice cream flavors that showcase ingredients from BIPOC-owned Seattle restaurants and cafes, with a portion of sales donated to racial-justice nonprofits. Flavors include Brew the Right Thing (single-origin Fulcrum Coffee ice cream with a Jerk Shack coconut caramel swirl), Vegan Do This Together (a lemon-blended vegan coconut concoction with Off the Rez jam and Pot Pie Factory vegan pie crust), and History in the Baking (chocolate ice cream with Salvadorean Bakery cookies). All contributing businesses are being paid for their work, flavors are available via preorder only for pickup or delivery at Sweet Alchemy’s U District, Capitol Hill, and Ballard locations, and a percentage of sales will go to the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, Chief Seattle Club, and BLOC; as Intentionalist founder and CEO Laura Clise put it, the project is “both a call to action and a call to community.”" - Gabe Guarente
