"McLoughlin seems to bend around this squat pillbox of a building, painted blue and white like a circus tent and crowned with a battered neon sign reading “Acropolis Steakhouse Plus.” This isn’t the best steak you’ll find in Portland, not by a long shot, but it might be the most “Portland” steakhouse on the list. That’s because the “plus” on the sign refers to the fact that this is also a working strip club — and not the New York variety. Dollar-per-ounce this is still one of the best values in town, and after five decades of slinging sirloins, the servers are as graceful as the dancers. No need to splurge for the rib-eye, get the sub-$10 special and save the rest for tips." - Ben Coleman
