"After operating as a ghost kitchen, the owners have opened a new permanent location with dine-in space as of July 26 inside the Furniture Mall of Texas at 12901 North I-35, Building 3, Suite 300 in the Parmer Center. The menu remains the same: the signature chicken salad, chicken salad sandwiches and wraps (including a fried chicken and a Buffalo bleu cheese), other chicken-salad variations (bacon-lettuce-avocado-tomato, chipotle, apricot, etc.), half-pound stuffed cookies, and vegetarian items. The new location lets them add coffee drinks such as cappuccinos and lattes and drinks that make use of the furniture store’s apparent custard, and orders for pickup and delivery can still be placed online as well as in person; there is indoor and patio seating, a direct entrance into the café, plus an entrance inside the furniture store. The Mills decided to open a physical location because customers kept asking for dine-in space; the furniture store opened earlier in February with an unoccupied café space, and the Mills—friends with co-owners Dan Anthony, Brian Morgan, and Travis Morgan—made the deal so the café could offer more than just coffee. The couple had intended to open a physical restaurant last year but started as takeout/delivery because of the pandemic; they also own catering company Vanilla Orchid and Molly Mills had been a chef at Hudson’s on the Bend during its first run. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday." - Nadia Chaudhury
