Great N.Y. Noodletown Is Back After Run-In With Health Department - Eater NY

"Chinatown stalwart Great N.Y. Noodletown is back in business. After the health department shut it down earlier this month, the classic cheap eats destination has reopened with a “grade pending” from the health department and just three violation points. A Department of Health inspection in January docked more than 100 violation points, including for refrigeration issues and live roaches. But a follow-up health inspection on January 19 resulted in three violation points due to a non-food contact surface that was improperly constructed. The grade is now listed as pending; typically three points would warrant an A grade. Eater NY critic Robert Sietsema paid a visit to the reopened restaurant and noted that while it was half-empty when he arrived, a steady string of guests filed in soon after." - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya
